Subie Gal 08-21-2001, 10:24 AM i have a 3 pt sabelt... i can take pix for you if you want... but.. it's fairly simple... use the rear of the seat brackets to mount the eye bolts and the Y connector you hook up under the rear seat where your seat belt hook up is... let me know if you want pix... jamie www.subiegal.com subachad 08-21-2001, 12:41 PM I've been meaning to put pics of my 4pt harness up. I used the rear seatbelt for the upper mount, and the bolts that bolt the seat down for the front mounts. Let me know if you want pictures, I could have them up in a few days. That's the best place to mount the outside mount for the lap belt. It's all really easy and straightforward. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes, as long as you're not on any KillerTHC. CHad:cool: 10th Warrior 08-21-2001, 02:32 PM i have my OMP basically the same as subie gal's except that i use the the bolt at the bottom of the drivers seatbelt for one of the eye bolts. if you do it this way, just be carefull not to drop any of the washers that are in there. subachad 08-21-2001, 02:39 PM Chad, You can't have more than a 45 degree angle on a belt, in fact it's better to have the mounting point higher than the shoulders. The reason is, during impact if the mounting point is lower, by your body going forward, it pushes down on the belts which could cause spinal compression. I hate my rear(shoulder) mount in the same place as everyone else. Chad:cool: Fido 08-26-2001, 03:19 PM Bumping this because I'm interested and I may be getting seats and harness...Is there a way to keep your rear seat somewhat functional? 5252 08-26-2001, 06:32 PM www.HarnessBars.com KillerTHC 08-27-2001, 01:40 AM can i used the center lap belt and buckle mount points? that way i can stil put ppl in the driver/passanger side in the rear still? |
