I finally got my car back!! It was my synchro, but the thing that caused it was some nut that came loose and screwed the synchro up, which in turn messed fifth gear. The service guys at Flow Subaru were cool. Can't say the same about sales down there! Car actally shifts better than it did on the day I got it. Maybe the nut was fishy from day one?

Of all of the Subaru dealers I've been to, ALL of the sales people were nasty to me and ALL of the service people have been really cool.

The subaru salesman that sold me my car was one of the best salesman I've delt with (perhaps that's because he was in the Volkswagen building). A good salesperson is hard to come by though, and I really dispise salespeople (especially the ones that work for commission).

Haven't delt with the service people yet, and hopefully I won't have to for a long time.

Hey Watcher, what symptoms did it have? MY fifth gear grinds unless I double clutch it when shifting into 5th!!

uh oh Yeoman, that's the symptoms, if its not under warranty 'd be takin her in quickly so the thing can be fixed before it screws up too much. It may be the same "nut" that came loose in my tranny. The service dude said two other impreza owners had the same prob but with different gears....anyone else have this problemo??:confused:
