I have a Strömung SS Dual Tip cat-back exhaust but it weighs a quite a bit more than the stock set-up. The poor thing would sway and knock and was pretty nasty over bumps. These new hangers are much stiffer than the stock rubber hangers. The exhaust barely moves now, no more knockin', no more swingin'. For the $40 they cost, they are a nice detail to keep things tight and noise free.

Did you get them through cobb? do you have a part number or will they know if I just call and ask for them?

Not sure if these are really Cusco items but they do have that Cusco blue. More importantly Cobb has them in stock. No one else had them in stock when I checked about a week ago.

By the way, if you are on a budget, using just two on the rear of the muffler made the most difference. You could get by with that.

If you dont mind my asking who did you get your exhaust through? And were there any fitment issues?

I got the exhaust through a group buy many moons ago with MotorRob. As with most group buys, it had its glitches but we all eventually got our product.

I got my exhaust mounts yesterday. WOW are they rigid. But that is exactly what I needed. You are right, the rear two make most of the difference. I ordered 4 of them thinking that if I didnt need them all for the WRX, I could always use them on my civic, that also has droopy hangers. So i guess my civic gets a hanger upgrade. Since I have two left over.

You could of always done what the drift guys do here and just wrap a large metal hose clamp around the stock rubber hanger and tighten it up. It will raise the exhaust up and make it alot more rigid in the process plus hose clamps are dirt cheap. Not the most attractive thing but another solution to your problem.
