My bike needs some work as I am completely inept at adjusting my front deraileur properly. I thought I'd try using the strap-on bike rack I had for my former car, but it would not exactly fit over the rear wing. Then I got an old sweatshirt to wrap up the chain and was going to put it in the back seat. Just on a wisp of hope, I poppep the trunk and tried to fit it in there. No go. Uh oh, wait a sec...take off the seat and...WOOHOO! Just barely fits. Put the wheels in on top of the bike and plodded on down to the bike shop.
Now if I could just get them to adjust my deraileur quicker than 3 days.

My 89 Accord Coupe was able to do that. I used to put a bike so that I could drive my car to a service shop, then get my bike out, put the wheels and seat on, and go home. It sure beats walking home or waiting for someone to give me a ride home.

Personally, I take my Homegrown all over the place in my car. I just take off the front and rear wheels, then invert the bike (seat to the ground) and then put it in behind the seats on the floor (coupe). It sits there perfectly on the seat and the rotated handle bars with the pedals in the air.

I would never put my homegrown FS in the back seat. Especially after the crud I ride through. Schwinn and Subaru? Gary fisher already made that deal...

I just put my bike in the back.
If I'm lazy and don't want to fold down a seat I take off the quick-release front wheel.

what fits in the trunk? Nothing, coz the monkey that live in our trunk took up the space. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif
