Looking to see how much my car weighs. I'm not worried about corner weights or anything, I'd just like to be able to see what it weighs with me in it.

I amused my inner child... now I can delete my post. :) ChrisL2 10-05-2005, 07:27 PM I know Surge had a weigh day at their store this past weekend. I've used the scale at a drag strip before. THE ONE 10-05-2005, 08:39 PM Yeah, next time you go to the track they have a scale there for sure. Firebird is the one I'm talking about. John2.5RS 10-05-2005, 08:49 PM Scrap yards are good too. GReddy_Ready 10-06-2005, 02:02 PM Scrap metal yards, most dumps and most feed stores all usually have scales. I know the feed store we buy hay from has one. It is in the east valley though, on Idaho about 1/4 mile south of Main St. on the west side of the road (B&B Feed) DroppedClutch 10-06-2005, 03:18 PM These feed scales measure the product while on/in the vehicle/trailer? Crawdads 10-06-2005, 04:10 PM These feed scales measure the product while on/in the vehicle/trailer? same as a scrap yard. weigh the truck with scrap in it, dump scrap, weigh truck again= weight of scrap. same process only backwards for loading feed. GReddy_Ready 10-06-2005, 04:11 PM These feed scales measure the product while on/in the vehicle/trailer? You pull your vehicle up empty on their scale, they weigh your vehicle, then you go and load your vehicle with (whatever) and then they weigh your full vehicle again. The delta is what they charge for the load. Just like the dumps do. Bottom line, the feed stores can weigh your vehicle. shemoves 10-06-2005, 04:15 PM ahh...i'll give them a call...I was needing some feed for all my livestock anyway. shawnshekari 10-06-2005, 04:40 PM You should treat your dates to a restarant once in a while Steve. shemoves 10-06-2005, 05:08 PM    Maybe when they start picking up their part of the bill...100 octane is expensive! DroppedClutch 10-06-2005, 05:24 PM You should treat your dates to a restarant once in a while Steve. :lol:Then they'll start expecting it. GReddy_Ready 10-07-2005, 10:07 AM We actually do buy feed for our horses there and they would have no problem weighing your car. They aren't that busy. Just go in and ask if you can weigh your car. I'm sure they would let you. Better yet just pull up and park on their scale(it is on the left side of their building) walk in the left front door and along the wall on the left is the scale. Read it and your done. :D Kiwi 10-07-2005, 12:18 PM Also try the landfills and transfer stations around town. There are a bunch out there, but people don't usually notice them. DubyaAreX 10-07-2005, 07:54 PM head over to a truck stop. $7 bucks. |
