Pictures on my website. www.projectaerosol.com/porubi/ Wayne bluerex47 10-05-2005, 08:00 PM haha thats pretty sweet...too bad its not turboed. how long did the build take? sjl1614 10-05-2005, 08:39 PM cool car....does the radiator add extra down force? poruki 10-05-2005, 08:56 PM The radiator cools , the Whale Tail adds down force by creating a low pressure area behind the car. This low pressure area also sucks air from above the tail, through the radiator and out the back. There is an electric fan on the radiator for cooling in stop and go traffic and low speed driving. Regards, Wayne tora 10-05-2005, 09:05 PM Wayne, nice build. Look forward to seeing it at the dyno. (E-mail returned). Kostamojen 10-05-2005, 11:34 PM Interesting place to put the radiator... And why carbs? :p rally_on 10-06-2005, 12:03 AM hot hot. i like Jaxx 10-06-2005, 01:42 AM what em are you using i see GM coils... steve_d 10-06-2005, 08:31 AM I want to hear it. a 2.5 with carbs has to be AWESOME. sjd poruki 10-06-2005, 10:25 AM Engine Management - I am using GM DIS as used on early '90s 4 cyl. I have written a program for a microcontroller ( Atmel 89C4051 ) that generates advance from RPM only. Fish 10-06-2005, 11:09 AM wow, nice work. seems like it was pretty straight forward. Jaxx 10-06-2005, 11:39 AM words words words words words words words words words words. whoa fishguy in the conversion forum back on topic what are you using for a crank sensor there are guys over in engine management forum that are trying to make a mega squirt work off the stock 6 tooth wheel great work btw 83Rabbit 10-06-2005, 12:10 PM wow, amazing! gotsol 10-06-2005, 12:32 PM I just sent you a PM. Nice work man! poruki 10-06-2005, 12:53 PM Re: Crank Angle Sensor I started with a 24 tooth Sti wheel, machined off the 24 teeth and then machined the appropriate notches for the GM DIS. I am using the stock subaru reluctor. Regards, Wayne Matt Monson 10-06-2005, 12:54 PM Wayne, Glad to see the project completed. Just the other day I was wondering how it was coming along. Kastamojen, You are joking, right? Why Carbs? I think that question answers itself... ;) Kostamojen 10-07-2005, 02:32 AM Kastamojen, You are joking, right? Why Carbs? Matt Monson 10-07-2005, 07:59 PM Just wait until you get that 914. Carbs or FI, getting it to run right will take forever unless it is good when you buy it... tora 10-24-2005, 06:15 PM Had a chance to take a ride in this car today, great swap! I was impressed! Wayne if you read this, nice to have met you, looking forward to pulling some numbers from the car. |
