cool car....does the radiator add extra down force?

poruki

The radiator cools , the Whale Tail adds down force by creating a low pressure area behind the car. This low pressure area also sucks air from above the tail, through the radiator and out the back.
There is an electric fan on the radiator for cooling in stop and go traffic and low speed driving.

Wayne, nice build. Look forward to seeing it at the dyno. (E-mail returned).

Interesting place to put the radiator...

I guess you used WRX headers because of clearance?

And why carbs? :p

Engine Management - I am using GM DIS as used on early '90s 4 cyl. I have written a program for a microcontroller
( Atmel 89C4051 ) that generates advance from RPM only.

Re: Crank Angle Sensor
I started with a 24 tooth Sti wheel, machined off the 24 teeth and then machined the appropriate notches for the GM DIS.
I am using the stock subaru reluctor.

Wayne,
Glad to see the project completed. Just the other day I was wondering how it was coming along.

Kastamojen,
You are joking, right? Why Carbs? I think that question answers itself... ;)

carbs are easy, Kos...

1. don't let the gas leak out
2. don't let the air leak in
3. clean clean clean, and NEVER EVER stick anything foreign in those little holes. compressed air and solvents only.

however, BALANCING carbs isn't all that easy. (multiple carbed cars...) like the porubi

Well, ive run two different carbs on mine, and the car still runs like crap... I'm ready for an EJ swap.

Just wait until you get that 914. Carbs or FI, getting it to run right will take forever unless it is good when you buy it...

Had a chance to take a ride in this car today, great swap! I was impressed!
Wayne if you read this, nice to have met you, looking forward to pulling some numbers from the car.
