dunnojack 10-12-2005, 04:45 AM i thought the idle control valve needs the coolent in order to operate?
Synic Motorsports 10-13-2005, 02:41 PM People have been doing this mod for some time now so that would lead me to suspect that it doesn't:/

Amazake 10-15-2005, 08:21 AM Can you give me an idea of turnaround time on an intake manifold?

SleepinRex 10-15-2005, 05:27 PM Can you give me an idea of turnaround time on an intake manifold?

in general, all orders are finished in about 5 business days. Of course, with smaller orders (ex. 1 intake manifold) turnaround is usually 2 days +shipping time. We also provide core exchanges for the most popular services (tb's, tdo4's, exhaust manifolds, and ic elbows).
nice porting job on my exhaust manifolds !
Synic Motorsports 10-19-2005, 12:19 AM Ron, hey, how's it going buddy? You ever get that thing settled with that one guy?
Scooby6152 10-20-2005, 05:38 PM Do you do exchanges on intake manifold?
Synic Motorsports 10-21-2005, 01:03 PM depends on if the core is in good condition, but we can typically do that.:-)
Peter
psyber_0ptix 10-29-2005, 09:49 PM how much would it be after core exchange?
looking toward exhaust manifold, IC elbows and intake manifold
Synic Motorsports 10-30-2005, 04:39 PM PMed you

Synic Motorsports 11-03-2005, 05:16 AM group buy coming soon
dunnojack 11-03-2005, 05:46 AM do you know how much shipped for the throttle body to 94116? turn around time as well and last question is does it come with gasket?
Synic Motorsports 11-03-2005, 02:21 PM the throttle body would be 15-20 to ship. We charge a 100 dollar refundable core deposit and refund them once a core is received. We can send you the throttle body first if you can help us out with sending yours back when you finish installing it. It does not come with a gasket, but your stock one should suffice. Thank and don't hesitate to ask us any other questions
Peter
dunnojack 11-03-2005, 03:05 PM so would i need to replace it with a new gasket or can i still use the old one? also, how will i run the coolant lines now that the throttle body does not need it? will the idle control valve still function properly? thanks!
SleepinRex 11-03-2005, 03:27 PM we've replaced countless throttle bodies without changing the gasket. Mind you, it is very fragile and must be done with care. The coolant lines to the throttle body are meant to route hot coolant through the tb to prevent the intake charge from freezing during really cold weather. However, most have agreed that this usually not necessary in most climates. It also does heat intake charge, thus ultimately causing u to loose power. The idle control valve still fuctions perfectly with or without coolant lines attached

orwrx 01-12-2006, 03:29 AM If the coolant is not needed after your TB porting and bypass mod, then what should I do with the line? Plug it? Can you show detail pics of how it is done? I'm interested in TB porting. When you say IC elbow, does it mean the two pipe that bolt at the bottom of the intercooler?
SleepinRex 01-12-2006, 08:43 PM all of our throttle body pnp services include a brass connector used to "byepass" the stock coolant lines. The connector has two male connectors much like your stock throttle body. This simply connects the two hoses so that the coolant still flows, just not through your throttle body. I'll try to dig up some pics, but you can refer to scoobymods.com for a very similiar modification.
As for the IC elbows, the pictures shown above of are the stock elbows used with the stock intercooler. The two metal pipes your refering to are correct. We usually recogmend this service for people with samco hoses to help maximize airflow. We also have done many aftermarket y hoses (turboxs, etc).
