Something odd I've noticed... this is my third new Subaru, and the other two had serious problems with the dash materials "outgassing" during the first few months. I'm sure anyone here who has purchased a new Subie is familiar with the ubiquitous "film" that forms on the inside of the windows. The oddd thing is that my new '02 RS doesn't seem to have this problem! Or maybe it just hasn't shown up yet... any observations from other '02 owners? Is Subaru finally using some better materials?

Subaru IS using better materials, but I am already seeing "The Fog" on my windshield. It's my first Subaru, 1st Japanese car in fact, so I can't say if it's building slower than past models.
I can comment that the SMELL of fresh molded petro-chemical products in my car was literally intoxicating... I mean this thing reeked http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/eek.gif But I love it now http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif
