My previous car was a MINI Cooper S with a Harmon Kardon stereo and the factory ipod interface that let you control the ipod through the stereo and charge it. Needless to say I'd like something similar for WRX. I know Kenwood and Alpine have units...whose is better?

For now I'll just be upgrading the headunit but eventually I'd like to do speakers as well. I don't want a sub but want something with decent bass and a good all around stereo. I would like something similar in sound to my HK stereo...any recomendations?

Kenwoods I feel is better because of its size. Alpines is a horse compared to the Kenwood.

Kenwood is 3x3x1
Alpine 6x6x2

The kenwood will fit behind the radio.
