Alright, so ive been reading around trying to find swaps that include this year of RS. they all seem to be putting sti engines in 2001 and older, or wrxs.

so if i missed a thread about this just throw me in that direction...

that being said, idealy i want to put a 2004 sti engine/tranny in my rs. the problem with that, is that the usdm 2004 is drive-by-wire... is there any way that i could just not use the drive-by-wire...? or could i put a different ecu on so i didnt have to use it? i was talking to someone and they said if i did keep the drive-by-wire, i would have to get an sti cluster, and pedal box, and a couple other things.

opinions please!!

get the drive by wire everything, or get a REAL sti motor- JDM EJ207. its cable setup and easier for swapperage. usdm sti is not bad, but kinda a slug to drive

best of both worlds, get a EJ207 with a 2.5 bottom end :p

If you do that, make sure you have OBDII hooked up, they'll check it for smog up here.
