finnaly we got my 98 2.5rs with a 95 wrx swap to crank but for some reason it cuts out when i drive it but when it idles it idles perfect! i think it is the coil packs or the sparkplugs! and also white smoke is coming out of the exhuast....normal when i first crank it but the smoke keeps coming out when i drive and i think it might be a blown head gasket...........(i cant even go 10mph b/c it cuts out and wont go up to 1500 rpms......somebody help me out please :(

did you change the oil in the engine since you got it? I am pretty sure white smoke from the exhuast is oil burning so maybe your rings are not sealing well. I am not sure what is wrong with the engine cutting out. Maybe you missed a ground somewhere.

I'm sorry you are having problems with it, Andrew. It's kinda to be expected with these swaps, though at first.
White smoke from the exhaust is typically coolant. It might not be a headgasket, though. Have you checked the oil? Does it look like it has any coolant in it? Have you checked the coolant line running to your turbo to make sure it's not kinked up? The turbo could be on the way out.
As austenf740 said, I'd double check the grounds and have Tony double check his wiring. I don't think your intake manifold has TGV sensors, so I don't think that would be causing the cutting back.
If you are still having problems with it Wednesday I might could come by and see if I see anything ya'll might have missed. A fresh set of eyes can sometimes help.
You'll get it running right. I've been there before.

white smoke from the exhaust is definitely coolant. But based on what you are saying it's either a blown head gasket or faulty turbo. I'd have a block test done to check for a bad head gasket

I second the head gasket deal.
