View Full Version : Looking for PHX subaru aftermarket installer
rallyblues 10-10-2005, 08:20 PM What's a good place to have your aftermarket stuff i.e. suspension, breaks, etc. installed? I used dealer once to install exedy clutch and it was pain in the arse, "sorry, sir we can put in but we cannot gurantee if something breaks down" BS  The only reason I use them, cuz of subaru bucks
Anyway, any recomendations?

My father owns a shop called Cooper's Automotive if you're in Phoenix. He's a factory trained Subaru mechanic and he's been working on them for 20+ years. He'll do aftermarket stuff. Let me know if you want his number.

Check out the back cover ad (Nitto, I think ???) of this months Sport Compact Car. That STi was built by them. Also, same issue, they are in the running for this years ultimate street car challenge. Dead honest and good at their craft... from my expirence.

Technically speaking, you should review the thread in the "Vendors Review" forum to see what the deal is... Some people have good experiences with them, others bad...
My personal experience with Kingpin has been well documented, but thankfully it is being worked out in a very professional manner.

racingfish 10-19-2005, 03:06 AM I work at avondale subaru and am new to the area.. all my mechanics and parts people tell me to forget about kingpin and go to dynocomp. i hear nothing but good things about dynocomp..
EllinikoScuby 10-19-2005, 03:15 AM Pitre seems to like KP and DynoComp
OS Handles Needed 10-19-2005, 03:50 PM As a new STi owner I went to DynoComp to see what the shop was all about. Within 5 minutes of walking in the door, Richard (owner) was handing me the keys to his '06 STi to let the car do the talking. I was impressed....with the shop, with the car, and with Richard.
