Just to clarify. The Rally is not THREE days long, its all on one day, the activities just happen to be spread across three days. :D

We are getting close on this one. We need to have those interested teams pre-register as soon as possible. Joe is trying to determine if it will be possbile to have Route Instructions mailed out ahead of time. For this we will need to know how many teams are planning on attending.

Also, if you can not make it to the rally on the 11-13th, we are still looking for crews to do pre-check, two weeks prior to the rally. Contact Joe if you are interested.

So I'm kinda new.... poeple can register for these events and drive on these roads? Without speed limits?

no not really. the route is preplanned so that you can do it with in the speed limit.

here's the short story.

You get a handout with a bunch of clues and specific instructions to specific checkpoints on a map. You get the map. You get assigned times to show up at those checkpoints. Everyone gets a different time.

Your mission is to find the checkpoints in the correct order at the correct time. No earlier, no later. You are scored 1 point for every 1/100 of a minute that you are either early or late. And like I said there is no reason to exceed the local speed limits.

that being said, there is no one out there telling you to slow down. although there is a stipulation in the rules that if you are observed getting a ticket, you are DQ'd.
