How is subaru getting around the 2.0 liter limitation, being that the displacement was increase on the USDM wrx and sti to 2.5? Are the EDM and JDM models still 2.0s or did the WRC raise the displacement limit?

Just wondering.

Or is there a 2.0 spec C model?

All WRC rally cars are limited to AWDT, 2.0 only, 4 cylinder, Turbo only. Nobody under 2550 lbs.

It doesn't matter what the production models have. If they have 2.0L and 2.5L on the production car, the WRC could care less. As long as the car they would be racing would retain a displacement of 2.0L.

For example the Peugeot 206 doesn't have a 4WD/AWD Turbo model at all.

We are fortunate enough to have a realitively able car of the WRC variant. Granted it's not the same, but beats a FWD :)
