So anyone else besides me forget just how much of a difference 70deg air flowing through the intercooler makes?

Then October comes around, " Oh damn I love it here!" BiG 10 10-13-2005, 03:10 PM I'm finally making more than 13psi! I hit 14.5 earlier this week when it was really cold in the morning :) Anyone else getting this effect? blackdout 10-13-2005, 03:39 PM do our cars really perform that poorly in the summertime? I'm used to weather that reaches a high of 75 degrees in the summer, I'll just have to wait and see how my car does on those 115 degree days. thinkledge 10-13-2005, 04:40 PM do our cars really perform that poorly in the summertime? I definetly notice a difference when the temps get high...I've even tried driving with the A/C off in the summer for a day to see if it made a difference...still a lot less power. shawnshekari 10-13-2005, 08:32 PM do our cars really perform that poorly in the summertime? It was so bad with my '02 WRX when I still had a truck I would park the Suby for the summer. MrDestructo 10-13-2005, 08:38 PM Yeah, and my car is still pinging like crazy. Forkin SOA. I know Phoenix doesn't really cool off at night, but Tucson will be 105+ in the day, but at night it will cool down to 75-80, plus I would hit Mt. Lemmon in Tucson and that was typically 15 degrees cooler then Tucson. I could feel a big difference between driving during the day in the middle of the summer and driving up on Mt. Lemmon at night, even though the elevation was 4000ft higher. blackdout 10-14-2005, 01:36 AM So I'm assuming no one goes to the track in the summertime. that kinda sucks. Because I had big plans for the car but wont be able to do it till spring time. |
