I was looking for the first three issues of Subie sport magazine, the one documenting the drums to disc rear conversoin. Instead, I ordered Scooby magazine, a UK Subaru magazine. Anyway, the magazine is actually pretty decent. The writing is a little Junior high, but the pictures are beautiful. Also, I found this tidbit interesting, which is why I'm posting it here. They have a story about a guy trying to break 9 secs with his suby but still keeping it as a daily driver. I found his engine specs pretty interesting.
2.2 litre closed deck block, USDM 2.5 STi Crank giving a final capacity of 2.33 litres with custom clearances and a compression ratio of 8.9:1, CP forged pistons, Pauter Steel Conrods, STi V ported heads and solid lifter cams, HKS Tubular exhaust manifold, custom downpipe and up-pipe, Garrett GT30R turbo, Custom Manifold Air Pressure sensor, 850cc injectors, Custom top mount intercooler, Apexi Power FC ECU, Apexi AVC-R Electronic Boost Controller, Coldfusion N20 Kit.
He didn't break 9 yet. The best he's done so far is 10.76 @ 121 mph. However, he hasn't really done any major lightening work on it. The thing is, if he does major work making it lighter, hasn't he already crossed the line of "daily driver?" I don't know I just found the setup interesting.
