What would i be looking for as far as the UTEC is concerned with adding fuel in my 0% column to aid in idling? It dies anytime it sits idleing for more than 60 sec. The voltage meter shows the needle bouncing back and forth in sync with my rpm's bouncing back and forth. Then it just dies. I've had the electrical system checked and its not the batt. or alt.

I may be way off here, but any advice is appreciated. I can log at idle if needed and post my fuel map. Thanks.

This was sorta happening to me the other day once. Started it up, and wouldn't idle, had to keep down on the gas to keep it going... but went away hasn't happend since.

Yeah, It's not that. Mine starts fine and idles fine too, until about a minute had passes then it starts the fluctuating of the voltage and rpms until it just gives up and dies. Any UTEC owners that can relate?

i've heard about a lot of problems with idle control on the UTEC.... my friends STi doesn't start smoothly and either stalls at idle or run really hard. check turbo xs website maybe?

Got any CEL codes? I ask only because maybe you have the CEL disabled. If so let us know. Also, if I remember correctly from another thread of yours you've got a 3" intake? Check for leaks there. Which injectors are you running? Stock mods can be a problem due to the spray pattern. Other large injectors can be an issue too. Did you ever check your fuel trims (not WB AFR's)? Could also be a vac leak. Check all vac hoses for connectivity and/or breaks.

If your car isn't idling correctly, then your tune is likely to blame. Check your fuel trims and adjust your fuel map and/or injector scaling appropriately.

Yes, misfire codes.

Yes, Perrin BigMAF to Perrin 3" inlet. I've had two leak tests done - both were done using smoke. The BOV leaked and I had it re-welded onto flange.
Which injectors are you running?
The PE800's.

Well, I did hook up a OBD scanner and checked my short and long fuel trims, but I'm not sure what to look for. I revved up to about 5k and ST was around -5 to +3. I never got to see it switch to LT, even driving it never did.
Where is it supposed to be? Zero?

Yes, I agree. My WOT runs are amazing now (with the help from you guys, and props to CDVMA for the extra effort he has taken to help me.) It pulls very hard with no knock. I guess I need to tune the idle. That sounds funny.
Thanks guys.
