Last week I was so psyched to find out that Subaru of Morristown called me up and told me the exact car I was looking for had just arrived at their dealership. Went to look on Friday, and Saturday morning I went and put a deposit to buy it. I filled out some papers to see what kind of interest rate Subaru could get me since they claimed they could esaily beat my banks 7.99% rate. To make a long story short, Subaru couldn't beat my interest rate, and they also drove or gave a test drive in my car after I put the deposit and decided to buy it. They denied that they put these extra miles on, even though my receipt showed it only had 2.3 miles at the time I put the deposit and now it has over 20. Not only did they deny the extra miles, but they got really pissed off and mad at me for questioning them on this. I decided I didn't wanna buy my car from them if I was having these types of problems before I even got it.
Now I need to find another WRX in the NJ area, anyone have any experience with other dealers in the area. I'm looking for a WR Blue 5 speed with at least the spoiler, but will consider other colors (but no silver).

I just got a 2002 Outback Sport from Lynnes in Bloomfield, on Bloomfied Avenue. They didn't have my car on the lot, but they found one in Long Island and brought it over. They claim to deliver more cars than any other NJ dealer, so they can probably help you out. I dealt with Joe Contreras (cell phone 888-733-7375). I actually went through BJ's auto service and Joe is the contact person (the only contact person). He used the Kelly Blue Book for pricing, which was right in line with what I was willing to pay.

would you belive that I drove 70 miles from Queens to buy my WRX wagon? Yes I did, I went to Subaru.com and filled out a dealer search. They were one of the few who called me and best of all, made me an offer. It was an offer I coudn't refuse. $1500 under invoice. Had alarm, upgraded speakers w/ subwoofer, pin strips. Bob Nitti, one of the owners called me on Tuesday and After all that, I asked him if I needed to leave a deposit over the phone and he siad no, the cars is yours if you wanted it. I told him yes, and that I would come on Friday to look at it. Got there and shook his hand, that was the deposit, picked up the car the following Friday. Happy camper ever since.
good luck.

2 years in the crypt and I drag this one back into the light of day.
I second this recommendation. I had a very good, if drawn-out (I needed lots of time to save up money) buying experience there. I worked with Marty Garland; he's a straight shooter (and a major Star Trek nut)

I hope the after sales service experience matches the positive sales experience.
I can only say that my experience with the Service Manager was so bad that I will never buy a car from Subaru of Morristown
