Hi folks, appreciate all the comments...

Over the past few weeks we have seen a big increase in our business, which is a good thing! It does require some adjustments on our end to keep up with the volume, and I need to hire someone full time or nearly full time just to be posted by the phone.

Until we do this, we are trying to keep up with customer service... apologies for any inconvenience! The best times to catch up with us if you are having difficulty are between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm EST, particularly mid-week. We will try to stay closer with the emails. If you continue to have trouble for a little while until we can spool up to "the next level", please bear with us.

For those on this forum who havent been able to reach us, when I am done here I will email each of you... if you still wish to do business with us, we would be glad to help.

I talked to Ken about 2 weeks ago, and he mentioned that there was only ONE set of thos MiMs left in the UK. They stopped making them. Not sure if they were sold. An issue I had w/them is the et is only +45. Didn't sound very subaru specific. Anyways, good luck. Leave a message w/them.

My dad and I have been trying to order a ss exhaust from ken for almost 4 weeks now. On their site it says they were at the Prescot prorally from teh 3rd thru the 7th. Ken is really a great guy, has been very appologetic about the whole issue, even offered to ship the exhaust for free... but that was two weeks ago with no confirmation nor any sign of the exhaust. just coming from PA to VA I don't think would take that long, but either way a confirmation would be great.

I ordered an air filter a month ago, but haven't received it yet because of customs issues. They are really hard to get a hold of, but very nice when you finally do. I'm going to be getting my credit card bill in the mail soon and am curious if I've been charged for my filter yet...I'm not sure if a should pay for it if i have no idea if or when I'll get it?

Heh. Yike, this looks like a thread worth responding to!

First, on the questions -

The MiM wheels (the original ScoobySport wheel) are indeed about sold out. There is one set of Anthracite left and then they are all gone. If you would like a similar look, however, check out the MiM / Technomag "Detroit" in 18" with a good offset (and price actually). There is a photo of a silver 'Rex with these in silver at the top of the "02 WRX page. Let us know what you think Boog...

On the exhausts:
I do have a few sets in, finally - we had a bit of a double whammy to our supply between the terrorist attack and then delays in the UK. We received the first pallet since September 11 just on Monday, to give you an idea. That had four exhaust systems on it, and more are on order (hopefully leaving the UK late this week, should be five days in transit). Loren, yours is one of the four sitting at the warehouse right now awaiting shipping... hope to send it on Wednesday, but perhaps tomorrow. One system is going to Four Star Motorsports in Canada for a new rally car build = )

We have also been out of ITGs for about six weeks, but thankfully they are nicely in stock at this point. We are going through the backlog now. As to charges, unless there is a special order item or we are doing a group buy, we dont charge your card until the items are shipping from us in Pennsylvania to you.

We do believe that the supply issue is sorted out, as ScoobySport and Hayward & Scott have been quite helpful - I think that everyone is adjusting to demand.

About reaching us -
Here's where we are: The business needs to grow. Jay and I have worked at RallyPerformance part time and it has grown to the point that we are stretching to keep up. We need a full time person, or nearly so, dedicated just to customer service - I hope to hire someone within 2-4 weeks or so. In the meantime, the best time to reach us by phone is from about 9 am - 2pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; failing that, leave a message with your evening callback number and I'll try to hit you in the evenings.

Thanks for the good comments with the bad, it gives us a good feel for what we are doing right and what needs to be fixed. We do try to keep the prices reasonable, and we try to stand behind what we sell. I like to talk to people individually, and sometimes that takes up some precious phone time... but it is worth it to see what everyone is doing with their cars, and to match what they purchase to their hopes for what the car will be for them. That's fun.

Because customer service is important to us, it bothers me to leave people hanging. I intend to fix that for you soon.

By the way, while we are talking about wheels -

Have been meaning to introduce a higher caliber lightweight wheel that the stock class autocrossers would benefit from in 16". The stock wheels are actually pretty light, but we wanted something lighter and still strong:

The Technomagnesia Racing is a six spoke wheel that looks a lot like a P7, available in Subaru fitment and offset. Get this: In 16", it is 6.5 kg, in 17" it is about 7.5 kg. The price should come in below the cost of the Speedlines, and they are available in white, gold, silver and anthracite. This is also their rally wheel.

Update... I just got my ITG filter last night and it's a def improvement over the stock filter. I knew there would be delays when i ordered it, i just got worried when i tried to e-mail rally performance a few times and i was getting the e-mail returned saying that e-mail address didn't exist. I also wasn't sure about being charged before shipment, thanks for clearing that up...that's what i was mostly concerned about. Otherwise, you guys are great :) I would drop your day jobs and go full force with this stuff, with more time you guys would do a hell of a business.

Overall, a thumbs up, but I must point out to Ken C that my ITG filter's blue box had been smooshed by someone putting a box on top during shipping and this has bent the wire structure of the air filter and the seal. I was able to bend it back into place, but here's hoping the seal is accurate and tight...

So, while it may just be "an air filter", it was a $52 one, and I expected it to be in pristine shape. It was not, due to improper packing (a label placed on the stock box). Had it been $15, I wouldn't even mention this.

But, like I said, thumbs up overall.

Yes, service is fast, but the packaging definitely needs work - I order the $300 STi hood scoop, and THAT also is just a label slapped on the OEM box. And there is ZERO packaging inside the oem box except some sort of fabric to keep it from scratching.

Good thing nothing broke on that $300 piece of plastic though, I'll give you that.

Hi Guys

Its good to read that the supply chain is coming up to speed and to see that Ken's expansion plans are coming on line.

When deciding who to appoint as our US distributor, we chose Rally Performance because of Ken's attitude to customer support.

Whilst other companies were offering to take $xM a year from us via on-line sales, Ken offered the same personal contact and involvement with his customers that has built our reputation in Europe.

Having distributors in Northern, Western and Eastern Europe, plus our own UK market, means that we have to plan production quite someway ahead and we were initially caught out by the strength of US demand. Scoobysport are by far the largest customers to all of its supplying manufacturers and when you account for 40% of a companies business, they sometimes need a lot of encouragement to let this be 70%. "Eggs in one basket..." and all that. I have had extensive meetings with all of our main suppliers and they are 100% commited to ensuring that we can meet the delivery times you quite rightly expect. In addition to this, Ken is now managing to hold more products in stock and next day shipment on virtually every item should be achieved early next year.

With Rally Performance, I'm glad that we are able to improve your enjoyment of your Imprezas.

I doubt anyone out there had more trouble with their order than I did, but I can say Ken more than made up for the trouble I had. I got my ITG air filter/ Scoobysport muffler about 3 weeks ago, and I can say it would have been a big mistake if I would not have held out for the good stuff. The ITG filter in combination with the removal of the intake silencer located in the right fender, has all the advantages of a cold air intake,sound/performance,but is much cheaper. The muffler sounds great, with a deep boxer note. Not like a bug, but alot like a stock 911. Thank you Ken, best of luck.:)

Hello all!

Noticed this thread (how could I miss it - wry grin). ToolMan, sent you an email...

Actually, we are even shorter staffed than usual as Jay has been out on holiday - our hope is to finally have customer service help full time by mid December. In the meantime, I apologize that a few folks have been slipping through the cracks - not really a good excuse that you have not gotten anything from us at all.

We now have a message system that allows you to select an appropriate mailbox to leave a message in (general, orders, technical questions and checking on current orders). Remember that we also accept faxed orders (see our contact page at http://www.rallyperformance.com/Contact.htm)

Hope this helps! If we've missed others, please let us know by email: write "you've been missing me" as a subject

On the silencer, it really is a nice move to go with the flat panel filter... AND you aren't messing up your mixture since you are staying with the stock airbox. Glad you liked it - the turbo should be hitting peak boost a good 200 RPMS sooner or so...

http://www.theunholytrinity.org/cracks_smileys/otn/realhappy/nuts.gif Ken, 2 Lbs of boost at idle to 1100Rpm Found the prob. I thought it was wierd when I talked to ya and it wasn't hitting like no lag (hence the prespool 2 lbs) but read fine to 42 lbs in the normal rev range. So I pulled over and popped the hood to take a look. This is where it gets funny/wierd. followed the line from the intake to the guage to find the nylon line pinched under the guage pod. http://www.freakygamers.com/smilies/s/otn/other/11doh.gif So upon straightening out the line BING!! back to normal until the line cracked and I had to listen to a whoopie cushion on crack whistling in my a~pillar for an hour home http://www.freakygamers.com/smilies/s/ups/icis/ices_rofl.gif . Er, that was strange, thought we had emailed you offline -

Anyway, as to your questions:

1) There is no difference, we deal with ScoobySport and with Leda actually. The Option B is the same setup, no changes... but ScoobySport works closely with Leda on anything that they do for the Impreza

2.) The Spring rates are 325 front, 225 rear for the new car; I believe that this is a tad lighter for the GC8 (we go up a bit on the rear for the wagons).

3.) If you would like a special order, Leda may just work with it... what did you have in mind?

Hope this helps...

It looks like you're keeping an eye on this post, so I'll ask you here...

Also, on December 3rd, I emailed you an order for a ScoobySport turbo back system (minus the front center pipe) and an ITG panel filter. When can I expect to receive my stuff? If you don't have everything in stock, when will you get more?

I haven't heard from either you or Gino at Red Star Racing since I've placed the order, so I'm kinda curious as to what's going on. My money is ready to go as soon as you're ready to ship everything out.

KEN!!

I only emailed you a few days ago but I noticed that you have an eye on this thread...

My brand new Scooby Sport cat-back system is too long, causing hangers to stretch, tip to stick out too far and making it impossible to fit hard exhaust hangers. In fact, there is only 1/4" clearance b/w the pipe and the drive train.

There are no leaks and all flanges are tight. Also, I had to use an aftermarket bolt/spring to fit the flange. I'm not happy.

Scooby Don't also has the same problem.

What gives? What's the plan? Is Scooby Sport in th UK aware of this?

I'm not going to cut the pipe because it will disrupt flow, it will cost me money and I shouldn't have to do this. If the pipe is not the correct lenght a replacement should be forthcoming.

I've been happy with Ken's service so far but this will be a true test of his comittment. Let us know, Ken

Mark

Ken C
12-20-2001, 05:07 PM
Mark,

Thanks for your message -

All of the ScoobySport pieces fit quite well, which leads me to believe that you have received the wrong pieces! My first guess is that your center rear pipes are too long if this is happening. It is conceivable that some STi V center rears got in with our shipment which are just slightly longer than our WRX centers.

I'll ship out another center rear pipe to you right away; hopefully this will cure the problem. If they do fit, please return the old pipe to me when practical, and let me know the cost; I will credit your card for the expense of sending it back.

On the bolts: The factory bolts are just a tad too short for some of the joints; our system does require that you use longer bolts and we recommend stainless as aluminum and stainless steel don't get along well together.

Hope this helps. Mark, what is ScoobyDont's real name? Perhaps you could pass this on to him for me; as soon as I track him down I will also send him a pipe.

Ken, I've emailed scooby don't and he'll get in touch with you.

A new center rear section would be nice. I'm using galvenized bolts on mine.

Hope it works out, and thanks for the reply.

Ken,

You're probably very busy and that's why I've gotten no response in a while. I'm still giving you the benefit.

Scooby Don't and I have long center rear section. The replacement piece you sent to him is still too long. This is dragging on too long, I think, and I think it'd be easy to just get a local shop to modify the offending pipe (if possible) and invoice you for the charges. My hangers are being stretched and I don't know if they'll last as a result.

The exhaust sounds good but the two of us are the only ones that have fitment issues.

Please impress me.

Thanks for the update on Scooby Don't - I somehow thought that his problems had been fixed, will get up with him as well.

Did you receive your replacement pipe? If so, that obviously did not fix the issues...

Perhaps we could have a phone discussion about this at your convenience? I'd like to drive into a fix for you as we typically don't have fitment trouble... Thanks for your patience!

hey ken, any updates on the CEL fix?

I talked to Jason at Rallyperformance yesterday (I keep forgetting his name so I apologize if I messed up). Anyway, he said they had some coming over on a pallet that should have been shipped yesterday. I was under the impression that they had shipped alot sooner.. but that is what he told me.

Ken C

Thanks guys!

We thought that the CEL fixes were coming with the last shipment that arrived (early this week) but found that they are coming on the next pallet (departed today, will be here next week - first week in Feb).

There are 20 CEL fixes on that pallet, with more coming (we have 75 on order total). We will start shipping chronologically - should just barely get to those of you who were in the infamous exhaust buy on this shipment, but will have to continue perhaps with the next set.

Lenyx,

Have been thinking about drivetrain resistance and your issue - what fluids are you using in your tranny and diffs? We like Redline MTL, or a similar oil... costly but worth it. I'd use a heavier Redline gear oil in the rear diff, stay with the viscosity in the manual or your preference. The stuff really does help with driveline power loss.

Also, we have been put onto Royal Purple motor oil... it is no kidding worth 5hp, we know the guy that was present at the dyno runs and he kept trying to disprove it... now is touting the stuff himself. RedLine, Amsoil and others are also good, but Royal Purple may be the best.

On the dyno - big dyno run this weekend in the UK, should get some nice figures to post with different sections of the system, of course on UK cars.

Ken, I've been using Mobil dino oil since the beginning in the engine... haven't touched the transmission fluid yet.

At the point I'm leaning towards 3 things that could be the cause of the problem.

1. My air filter. I'm not so sure I closed the air box properly after I installed it. A leaky intake could probably have dragged my hp down.

2. My CEL.. nobody has confirmed for me whether or not the o2 sensors in the exhaust play any sort of major role in determining A/F ratio. From what I've read.. they do affect it at least a little.. from my understanding the car tries to adjust a/f and timing to get the cleanest burn possible.

3. Winter gas. I'm not really leaning towards this one as much since everyone else there was running off of pump gas as well.

I've secured the air box properly.. once you send me a cel fix I'm going to reset the ecu and go for another dyno run. I'm hoping I won't have the same results.

How many miles are on the car at this point? We like using a crappy oil in the engine for the first few k miles, then switching to a better oil after initial break in... not that this would cause the problem mind you, just a tangent.

Interesting thought on the CEL. I'll get you one as soon as possible -

Well, I have to say that Ralley Performance is a good company and they have tried to right my wrong. I had order some Speedline wheels in September of 2001 and I still can't put them on my car. One was damaged in transit by UPS. Maybe due to the fact that they were in stock packaging, maybe because UPS treated them like crap. Then my local tire shop decided scratching the crap out of the other was a good idea. But that was all at least 4 months ago. To make things worse I have three sets of lugnuts for my Subaru and one set for I don't know what. I haven't got a new set of lugs nor the two wheels that were ordered 4 months ago. Apparently this has something to do with Scooby Sport in the UK or Speedline in Italy. Either way I have four wheels and tires that would do for now only I have 3 sets of lugs. I am very disappointed in that fact, but I would like to repeat it appears that Rally Performance is doing an adequate job of getting this taken care of. However, I still have no idea when these wheels are coming. So buy Speedlines at your own risk! Thanks for listening to me rant.

James M. Moore

Ken C

Your post is well taken James - and you've certainly had a long wait with these. James had bought the Speedlines in 17" from us, and actually the 17s are not a commonly stocked item... ScoobySport has also had a hard time getting these in from the factory, and have not seen any since James' original order. I have gotten an encouraging word on them however and do hope to have them soon.

In the meantime, I can get you the lug nuts immediately - will confess that we were so focused on the wheels that the lug nuts had slipped our mind. I will cannibalize a set from one of the 18" wheels in existing stock and get them to you.

We have not seen this problem with the 18" Speedlines, only the 17s - and as a result I have been informing customers of the supply problem on the 17" size.

Thanks for your patience, and your professional approach to this - hope to have it resolved for you soon.

Yep, have gotten the first 20 in and are going through sending them out now... had to get them out in the order that the downpipes were first sold in for the new car. I believe that you are in the end of this first batch, yours should be going out early this week!

Ken,
thanks, its nice to know that these are finally comming...

anyway, as for your question about the HP... i am looking to have about that much at the wheels by this time next month. I have a T3/T4, 660cc injectors, a new A/L intercooler and lots of other little goodies that are going to be installed and dyno tuned in the next few weeks.

Don't know if i'll make the first 2002 wrx into the 11s over here, but i expect to very deep 11s when the time comes for me to run at the strip again.

The real trick has been keeping life easy on the transmission. The clutch gave out at low 12s. Replaced that with a nice AP group N rally clutch (highly recomend this to anyone looking to go easy on their transmission but needs more holding power) and so far so good. There is either something about my granny shifting driving style that keeps this thing alive or somehow i got a factory freak...

This season should be fun... Stroker motor, dog box, and LOTS more boost...

thanks again on the CEL eliminators... i have moved since you sold me the exhaust though... i'll pm you my address.

I should have mentioned that I bought these 17" with the knowledge that they where not nearly as popular as the 18" I just wasn't aware that they were this rare. Anyway, Ken has been diligantly working with Scoobysport and Speedline to get these. Thank you Ken for you help and thanks for getting me some lugs.

OH and the best part is that RP was closed today and so was SS. I won't be able to talk to anyone till tuesday of next week. Jesus H Christ can't anyone take care of their customer anymore. Drexel,

My apologies for the difficulty that you've had - perhaps this will help:

In the last two weeks, ScoobySport has been working hard to keep up as they are shorthanded in the UK and training a few new people. They ship to not only the US, but their UK dealers and to dealers throughout Europe.

Typically, we manage inventory by keeping stock in our warehouse and simultaneously tapping the UK store for drop shipments as needed. To help in catching up with the drop shipping backlog, we have placed a few larger orders to beef up our US inventory... but your order got caught in the meantime.

We don't give BS, if we tell you something it is our honest belief that it has happened. We have very aggressive return and support policies, because that is how I like to be treated when I buy things myself... and because we know our products. We are open for telephone orders and service a minimum of 9-3 EST every day; if you get the machine then one or both of us is at the warehouse and will be back shortly.

I hope to have this resolved for you shortly - we will be open after Easter on Tuesday, feel free to give a call. In the meantime I will check on your shipment!

Ive left phone messages and multiple emails since my last post(and Kens response) a week ago and no response from anyone on anything. I have tried repeatedly since your post Ken to get ahold of anyone! All I ever get is a machine and NEVER has a call been returned!

My last phone message was to let them know I was going to have to file the credit card claim soon to get the brake kit money back if I didnt hear SOMETHING from ANYONE!

Not that it matters, there was no response to that either, left that message late last week.

Oh well, cross another vendor off the list i guess.
Sorry guys, I really wanted to give you my business. :(

Just checked my machine and Jay called Friday afternoon.
Says the kit shipped from Scoobysport.

I am waiting now for over 4 month of parts from Scoobysport!!!

The do not reply my emails, they always tell you that the will ship the parts at the "end of the week" , If you are calling them the will do not know anything about your order and so on.

I am responsible within the German Impreza GT Club for the parts and tuning area and I decided now to stop business with Scoobysport due to ther very very poor and slow business.

We have had only a few problems with this, and we will send you another fix... have found that a few of them are faulty, and the trouble has been remedied by replacing it with a new box.

If you would phone at (814) 274-4860, we will get you a new one out at the end of the week - please also let us know what mods you have on the car currently, and if it is throwing another code that you know, let us know what it is. If you do not know, don't go to effort to find out -

I'd like to take a moment also to address honesty - namely, ours:

I have never liked getting a line from somebody about something I am waiting for, and we have made it a point never to do that to our customers. If we tell you something is a certain way, we truly believe it to be so...

Let me also say that we do service a large number of customers daily, and many of them are quite happy with our service. I'm happy to have this venue as it gives us a sort of "safety valve" to watch for trouble.

Frank, although we have not dealt directly with you, I'd be glad to talk to the UK about whatever issues you have. We have been working to keep quality high, and I know that ScoobySport has as well...

Drexel, I'd like the opportunity to make up the brake trouble to you.

I just want to jump in here for a second and share some of my experience with Ken.

First off, he was a bit hard to get ahold of, but once we connected, i received very good service from him all though out my sale.

He sold me a full exhaust system, and when i received it, there was a bit of a problem with one of the peices missing. He overnighted the missing peice and a call tag for the extra downpipe that was wrapped up with my system.

I installed the exhaust system, and loved the performance, but found the rear section was a bit too loud for my taste. Ken offered to buy the rear section back from me because i was not quite happy with it.

Ken is a good guy that is dealing with his business exploding because of the WRX. He has never lied to me, and I feel that he is one of the better vendors that i've ever done business with. His greatest fault at this point is that he could really use some help with the phones and email, but that in its self is a testimony to how many people are really happy with his service.

Ken,

Thanks for the follow up. My point here is that its gotten pretty bad when the only way to talk to one of you is a random post on I-club. I am a pretty patient guy and was more than willing to work with you. I just never can get ahold of anyone to work it out! The times i have spoken with someone they keep telling me the parts "shipped last week". To your credit, Pete at Scooby Sport sent me an email about their supplier troubles, which are in turn your supplier troubles. But whether SS wasnt honest with you or you werent with me is still the issue. All someone had to say was, "these might be 4-6 weeks out", and i would have understood and been happy to get the honest reply. Mainly because very few vendors give them nowadays! I dont want to rant again, you have my contact info and I would be happy to hear from you whenever its convenient.

That is a better news ... I guessed.
I was told something like that back in early Sept. I asked many times in emails about the possible shipment date, but they don't seem to be able to give me a firm answer... then they don't respond my email for a while now. Of course, that's how I found out the phone number is no longer in services...

I hoped they are just busy taking care all the shipments and don't have time to check their messages.

For fairness, Jay provides good services once the communication is established. .. But a message, "hello. we're still here. here is new phone number; your parts will be ready in x week. " would be comfort for those who spent the money but no parts yet.

In fairness to rallyperformance, I was becoming frustrated too so I contacted Scoobysport directly 5 weeks ago and received a very cordial email reply explaining that they were in the middle of switching manufacturers to ensure better quality control. They said that there had been some set backs, but that rallyperformance should have the shipment approx. 2nd or 3rd week of Oct. I think that rallyperformance has just been relaying the info that they were getting from Scoobysport.

I am using my brain wave power to send message to Rally Performance, Ken & Jay. Maybe this will work.

Hi Rick

Since my last mail to you, we have terminated our relationship with Hayward
and Scott.

Our new exhausts are being produced and we have a pallet going to Rally
Performance. The new parts are quieter from inside the car, although
sounding just as good outside and the flow capacity has been further
improved.

If you still require a refund, I would suggest calling Rally Performance.

Just got off phone with Jay at Rally Performance.
They're still in business, just having few crazy weeks.

So, regarding to the phone issue.
They changed the long-distance phone company, then got disconnected for a while, but it's now back to normal.

Then if you're like me waiting for the stage system and been waiting for few months already,
According to Jay, all payments sent to Hayward & Scott; the shipment 'should' shipped from U.K already. Rally performance is now waiting from the US custom for the tracking number. All information should be much clear by next week.

Hopefully shipment will arrive in a week...

Then if you're like me waiting for the stage system and been waiting for few months already, here is update for you.

Jay said today, the shipment is in Pittsburgh's custom and waiting to be clear. If everything goes right, he should receive either by end of this week or early next week. Then he will be very busy help packing them and shipping them out.

So, hopefully just two more weeks until it show up .... I am keeping my fingers cross.

Hi,

I ordered an ITG air filter from these guys in early January and Paid In Full on 1/3/2003. I have emailed them several days for an update and have not heard anything. They said that stock was depleted but they should have something in the middle of the month (in the initial email back in early January).

Are these guys on vacation or something???

Am I ever going to get my air filter?

Are you using kccole@adelphia.net ? That's the Email address he always uses with me, I assume the address that shows up on their "contact" page must be linked to that one...

Hi FB!

Sorry you had trouble reaching us on this one - the resupply of filters is we're told sitting on a pallet waiting to depart and will be incoming shortly with other things. If you wish a refund I will paypal to you or refund your card, certainly.

Apologies for the wait, we're focusing on a business expansion plan that will do a few things:

1.) Allow greater exhaust stock so that customers dont have to wait for shipments incoming to get parts

2.) Add another employee dedicated to phone customer service

Things have been especially busy this week, Jay has a sick relative and everything is going on at once. Thanks for hanging in.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, I won't bother calling. I just wanted to know if the filter was delayed but still coming, or if I had fallen through the cracks. I can definitely understand how it is when things get busy, especially if there is a family issue.

Again, I appreciate the reponse and I can wait patiently until it arrives, now that my mind is at ease.

Ive spoken on the phone with these guys many times and sent many emails. These guys are great. Yes it took a long time to get my exhaust, but it is not there fault. I have nothing but good things to say about them, but if you are in a hurry for parts, they might not be the best vendor becasue they deal with all overseas parts. Def do business with them.

Good and bad.

Bad = Somewhat hard to get ahold of. This made me skeptical at first since literally, you can't get ahold of them easily. Although when you find out they are VERY busy and a small shop it is moderatly understandable. Ken also said they are hiring someone to fix this issue, so no more problem.

Good = Honest. Due to this alone they will get my business again. I called about a scoobysport muffler and Ken was very upfront and honest about it. They informed me they were not in yet and it might be four weeks. Later on I gave them my credit info to charge me and ship when they arrive. Unlike most greedy vendors, they didn't charge me until they shipped it. I really liked that. They weren't just about the money, but customer care.

Everytime I asked a technical question, it was replied to with a reasonable answer with correct information.
Overall, RallyPerformance is a great vendor to do business with.

Im not sure how many other people are having problems with rally performance now but I would not recomend ordering anything from them to anyone. I placed an order for and exhaust back in december and still havent recieved anything from them. I went into this expecting to wait a few months as many people had complained about.Rally performance even said to expect around a two month wait. At first things with rally performance went well I even ordered more parts from them and recieved them within a few days. But as time passed they became harder and harder to get ahold of. First shop hours got cut down. Then they didnt answer phone calls at all. Now they dont even return emails. The only thing i have heard from them in the past few weeks is that Ken thinks they may have shipped the exhaust. I then asked for a tracking numbers or a refund and have not heard back since.

To all:

I'd like to post here with an explanation, a guarantee, and an apology:

A few months back, I had a major occurance in my personal life that took me away from the business... I am just now getting back. At about this same time, for a number of reasons, I found that the person caring for customer service had stopped responding to emails. The end result is purely my responsibility however.

As of today, we owe several customers their orders, that should have been delivered by now, and they have not been. Some of you have been waiting a long time. I have begun the process of offering either 1.) products or 2.) refunds to everyone still waiting. I will of course waive our standard refund policy and refund the money fully.

Two refunds have already been processed, and we will have all products or refunds out to customers by July 15th. I am guaranteeing this with my own assets if necessary.

Finally, an apology: The way that we have done business in the past few months is not the way that I intended RP to ever do business, and I apologize. It is my fault, and we will fix the issue. Rally Performance has built up a good reputation over the years as a small shop that does good things... and we intend to keep that going.

In the future: We are talking with our UK partner regarding future plans; Since my current situation will allow my focus to remain in ECU mapping and development, we are considering shrinking our product offerings to our specialties - exhausts and ECUs. We may partner with the UK on customer service solutions as well - more on that once all current issues are resolved.

While I will be out Monday through Wednesday of this week, I will be returning on Thursday; if you have outstanding orders to discuss, I will be reaching out to you, or feel free to email / PM me.

Sincerely, and with apologies
Ken Cole

Jamie,

I'll send you a PM on your ECU - I thought that the second ECU we did for you...(not the first one, from the engine fire car... but the second one) did work well - I may be wrong though.

If you had to pay to have PDX dial it in better for you, then I'll offer to refund you our fees. We've done a lot of ECUs with excellent results, and have a 0% failure rate that we're proud of... so, if you aren't happy, I'm buying.

I'll PM you with my cell phone so we can resolve it -

Regards,
Ken

Hey, Ken, where are you on the projectors for the SRT-4 that everyone sent you money to build prototypes for?
They are pretty mad over there on srtforums.

They want their money back. They are saying they are getting no emails or PMs back from you. From reading the thread, I get the impression you stole their money.

That being said, Morette is beating you to the punch with prototype reflectors.

Repeated emails, private messages and posts on another forum were failed attempts. In an attempt to contact Rally Performance, I must take up a little room on this forum. Please excuse my interruption.

04SEP2004, I offered a deposit for lighting components that were supposedly in the works for SRT-4s. 04JUL2005, no lights, no pictures, no replies, no money.

I want my money and 30 other SRT owners want theirs too. I think one guy paid for his lights in full, in advance.

Note #2: I think Morette-France wants to talk to Rally Performance as well.

Until this matter is solved, I would not suggest dealing with this company. Ken can probably sort everything out for us, I hope.

Thanks for the space Subes, I love all yas.

Totally unacceptable behavior from this company.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY

Rally Performace owes around $2200 to various SRT-4 owners. A project was started and deposits paid starting the first of September. Last post on SRTForums by Rally Performance was 09MAY2005. I come over to NASIOC to check some stuff out and I see Rally Performance posting yet MORE apologies on 19JUN2005. The project is over, we want our money and Rally Performance is hiding like cowards.

WILL NOT reply to emails.

WILL NOT answer the phone.

WILL NOT post any explaination on two message boards.

This is about THE most ridiculous lack of customer service I've seen.

It also appears that Rally Performace has in some way screwed one of the people that they would WANT to take total care of ... SubieGal. And it's sad to see. I've followed SubieGal for quite some time. Rally Performance owes her money too and won't pay up, or even reply to her posts. I do hope you get a refund, Jamie. If I can get Rally Performance to answer my phone calls, I'll ask them about it.

I repeat ... until this matter is solved, DO NOT do ANY business with Rally Performance.

The SRT-4 problems with RallyPerformance are being solved slowly, but by Ken personally. So we can disregard the negativity of my posts for now. He contacted me directly and is trying his best to solve all the problems that have arisen in the past few months.

I hope your problems are solved, SubieGal. I'll keep tabs on the subie world, as we still have something in common ... we love our cars. I think Ken's main enemy here is that he's been overwhelmed with problems caused when he was forced to take off work.

Thanks for not firing up the SRT jokes. We don't sling poop about other cars at SRTForums. Well ... maybe Hondas but doesn't everyone? Stop by sometime and say "hi". See yas on the highways.

Just touching base again - SubieGal, sent you the PP; good to resolve with you! We still have to get you out here for an east coast rally, you know...

To all: We've got some positive momentum going again... thanks for bearing with us. Kudos also to Nick for his professionalism, we've been working with him in our efforts as well... his approach of looking at our history, and giving us some monitored time to sorth things out has been superb. Its in everyone's best interests to make sure that people are taken care of... A knee-jerk pull of vendor status would have made what will be a healthy recovery much more difficult, and in the end it'd be harder to make things right with our customers. Thanks Nick -

I'm having to re-open my issue because Rally Performace sent me the wrong group n strut tops. Loosk like they must be for the 02+ Impreza since they are much smaller than the ones for the GM6, GC6, or GC8.

So after waiting over a month to get them and waiting another 3 weeks to find the time to install them they turn out to be the wrong ones.

I have (finally) received a refund for a performance package that I paid for in February ($1368.50). I won't bore you with the ugly details of what is required to get a refund from Rallyperformance. Dealing with these guys reminds me of William H. Macy's character from the movie "Fargo". Anyway, I ended up going through Exeter Subaru www.subaruwrxparts.com as they have quality service, something Rally Performance is lacking.

On October of 2004, I ordered from this company thir ECUTEK reflash for $650.00. I paid the cost up front and was supposidly 3rd on the list, as they were waiting for customers to return their stock units that would then be reflashed and sent out to those waiting. This October it will be 1 year and still no ECU from them.

I have gotten numerous emails from Ken stating "We were 1-2 weeks away from shipping out the product to you" Now he won't even pickup the order line or return any emails. I also contacted a couple of their dealers who said they had stopped carrying his product line due to this same problem.

Am I out my 650.00 or has somebody had any interaction with them.
