Sydney, Australia based member here.

Have just purchased an MY03 AUDM model WRX (MY04? to you guys? The peanut headlight shape either way :)). Have been reading extensively on HIDs.

- Do not want the glare and ****e cut off of a PnP kit sitting in the stock reflectors
- Haven't much faith in the JDM HID STI reflector setup (does anyone have any pics of this setup? I would be very interested in seeing how the JDM -reflectors compare).
- Would love to install a set of Audi/E55 retro'ed projectors into my stock headlights.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of any workshops over in the US who offer pre-retrofitted MY04 headlights for sale? I am not technically minded enough to hack up and retro my headlights myself. Bolt on parts is one thing, but tinkering with projector cutoff shields and DIYing headlight harnesses is another! Any advice would be much appreciated. And of course I will require RHD oriented headlights, not US LHD. :)

If anyone wishes to talk me out of the trouble by showing me how good the JDM STI HID reflectors look - please be my guest! :p

Thanks for the thread link Hank. However I've read through that thread and many other NASIOC threads multiple times and I'm still in need of answers. All I want to know is if there are any traders/workshops offering pre-retro'ed MY04 projector HID headlights.

I thought that's what he was wanting - there are two vendors with links that sell retrofitted headlights or the components that are needed to do so. Perhaps I should've posted the links in my message? :huh:

In the "Projects" section there are a couple pics of '04/'05 STI lights retrofitted. You'll have to contact them for pricing and details. A few members have either sent have had this done with great results.

When I read "pre-retrofitted" the first time, I assumed he wanted a set that was already built that he could buy and put on his car so he wouldn't have to go without headlights. Guess I read it wrong. Yes there are places that will do this for you, but you will have downtime because nobody has any ready to sell that have already been done.
