Hi I pulled off my passengerside lower trim piece when I was changing out my fuel filter and saw this. Is it something that happened aftermarket or is this like the two green plugs underneath the steering column and just for factory diagnostic purposes? Name that wire if you can

that green plug i believe leads to the fuel pump. usually u disconnect it to replace or upgrade the fuel pump. it allows ur car to start up and run all the fuel in the lines(when disconnected) and then just stall when its out of gas.

Wouldn't that be the brown plug behind it? I'm not sure.

It's exactly the same as the plugs under the drivers side. Infact, it's part of the same circuit. In the COBB AccessPORT manual it describes it.

Both the green plugs on the passenger side, and on the drivers side have to be connected to put the car into Test Mode.

After it's prepared/cleaned after shipping to the dealer, the passenger side ones will be left connected and the drivers side ones will be *disconnected* for use at a later time.

(paraphrasing)

I'm sure that's what it is, but if I'm wrong, i'm also sure that someone else will jump in. ;)

You are correct. It's referred to in the Cobb Manual and is part of the diagnostic setup.

You got the wrong one, but I can see how. When I changed out my fuel filter, I at first thought it was that one too. However, there is a green plug further up in that is connected to the fuel pump relay.
