Today was the first foggy day since i have had my new 05 wagon. So tonite i could clearly see my beam pattern, and it was aiming up at about 45 degrees which is pretty extreme. Obviously it is not supposed to be like this. I did clear my headlights last week. But the lights are bolted back in correctly. I don't think that I could have screwed up the beam pattern from taking the headlights apart. And it also seems that there is no way to aim the headlights. Whats wrong? is there anyone else that noticed this with theirs. Also before I cleared them, one night I was driving behind my girlfriend and she said it looked like my high beams were on the whole time so I think they came like this.

Have you checked your Owner's Manual to see if there are instructions on how to aim your lights?

You can aim your headlights... On the STi there is a white plastic hex-head adjustment thingie. Turn one way to bring lights up, the other to move them down. Not sure what headlights you have (HID or otherwise) but it is probably the same. Somewhere there is a headlight aiming procedure posted, that tells you how far away you should be, and how high the beam cutoff should be at that distance.

I had the same proble and i found out it was because i re installed my bulbs pointed down so they reflected up

a long phillips screwdriver also works for this adjustment. Just stick the phillips head in the 'gear jaws' on that adjuster knob and turn it. Much easier and quicker.

i don't know how this is possible, mine only went back in one way.

Yeah, freaky the bulb can go in two ways (I didn't notice when I changed mine last year). I still think the beam pattern of the stock lights is not as good as the stock patter on my old RS. I've only seen one adjuster for height; nothing for side to side alignment. I'd buy some Morettes if they were (again) as simple and good looking as they were on my RS (not to mention a bit cheaper).
