I have a beltronics 730 i (about 5 years old) and ever since the weather has gotten colder it goes off indicating Im getting painted with X band radar, I cant see any cops or anything so Im wondering if its my radar detector, a persistent cop, the effect of my heater on the detector, or what, if you have any ideas I would be greatful.
BTW I saw on beltronics website I can trade in my old detector on a new one, anyone done this.

Can you shut off X-band detection? I just did this on my V1 and it's wonderful. The only X-band around here is from automatic doors. I don't know how the heater could be the culprit, but stranger things have happened. Have you tried shutting off the heater to see if it goes away?
