Hey all.

I finally made up my mind and pulled the trigger. I traded in my 01 GT for and 06 Spec B. Overall I am pretty happy with the new ride, sans the stereo. Since I traded the car in, I pulled off some of my aftermarket parts. PM me if you are interested in any of this:

Stromung Axel Back muffler (Stainless)
Cobb Cold Air Intake w/ IAT hole
Alpine CDA 9833 w/ XM Direct
JDM 17" GTB wheels

This pic shows the muffer & wheels

cheers,
Ryan

Thanks Fibuz! I will definitly get some pictures of the new Legacy up soon.

Items would be price or best offer + shipping. for prices I am thinking:

Stromung Axel Back muffler (Stainless) - $100
Cobb Cold Air Intake w/ IAT hole - SOLD
Alpine CDA 9833 w/ XM Direct $350
JDM 17" GTB wheels - Undetermined

I bought the Stromung Axel back from PHATsuby two years ago. In that time, I managed to scrape the tip several times. The Sti springs I ran + Denver's streets made sure of it. The Cobb is new and in good condition, bought it this summer. Both the muffler and cai sound great. They sound even better together. :p The Alpine is about 1.5 years old. By far the greatest deck I have ever had. Awesome power & sound, mp3 & XM radio. The wheels are in good condition, with only minor defects. The wheels have a set of Kumhos that have just a little over one summer on them.

I will get some pictures taken asap.

Awesome upgrade! I was checking out a Spec B last night at the dealership. Gorgeous car.

Hey finse, what % tint is that?

Thanks for all the positive replies guys. This car will definitely be fun to customize, I will be doing the easy stuff first; tint, clear bra, xm radio.. Perhaps by the summer I will be ready to start making performance modifications.

HF|[S]Devil - I live in North Denver and work up in Interlocken. I dont make it down south more then a couple times of year.

IDMO / HF|[S]Devil - The IAT sensor is pretty much just a hole in the CAI, I imagine you may be able to weld it shut, but what it would do the aesthetics....

subysouth - I will get some pics going this weekend. Its that time of year, dark outside when I leave for work, dark outside when I get home.

Sorry man, I have no idea. I was under the impression that the BE muffler was not interchangeable with the older models. I am willing to take mesurments it you want to pursue this further.

Cheers,

Ryan I thought you fell off the face of the earth. I rode in your car about a year ago if you remember. I work right by Jeffco and never see you except one day about 3 weeks ago on 287.

Anyways if you need some help running parts down south for any local guys let me know. I work by you and live down south.

Pm me if you want to grab lunch some day.

What about spring and shocks? Got any of them lying around?

finse46
11-10-2005, 03:47 PM
bhall - hey man. I def remember you. All the parts are in Denver at my crib, but I may take you up on the offer. Check your PM's

PDAWG - Springs were too much of a hassle to pull off the car. Basicly, I didnt think I could even recoup the cost of the time for the price of the springs.

finse - is that pic of your on the STi springs?

iamrazor
11-10-2005, 04:31 PM
yes, what springs are they? would you consider an entire take off sale + stockers?

finse46
11-10-2005, 05:12 PM
MitchGT - yep those were my Sti lowering springs.

iamrazor - I didnt have the time / money to have the Sti springs removed. I had to trade the car in with the springs still attached. Sorry man.

(real) STi springs? gawd. those must've been $texas!

and you traded them in without telling anyone here? shame on you.

I call for warning points :)

finse46

iamrazor - they were real STi springs. They actually did not cost as much as you may think. IIRC, they were $250-300 new. These springs had about 50-55K on them when I traded my car in. when I checked last year, the place I originally bought them was still selling them.

However I see your point. I wanted to pull the springs, as I knew some one (if not many) would want them. I didnt have time, and to pay some one to pull them would have cost at least $100. I wasnt sure if I would even recoup the cost of pulling them from the car.

i'd be all about that exhaust if it fit a wagon... I have the same year subie, but the sedan and wagon take different exhausts from what I understand...

What is the site? How was the ride?

What is the site? How was the ride?

I can't remember the site. Do a search on my posts, the information is somewhere in the Nasioc DB :) . The ride was significantly rougher then stock, or even the prodrive spings in my friends wrx. If you were lucky enough to ride in the back seat, a normal adult would have to duck when I hit bumps in the road. Additionally, the car was very low, making it more difficult to navigate in certian areas.

I believe the only difference in the sedan and wagon exhausts is the length of the tailpipe or at least it is so on the BD/BGs. Subaru is now only selling the BD tail section for the BDs and BGs, so the wagon guys get short-sheeted. My BG came to me with a BD muffler section on it.

Judging by the length of the tailpipe in the pic, I'd say it would be ok for a wagon.

Ha! No kidding. I cant believe there is so much interest in the springs and that no one has pinged me on the wheels. IMHO the wheels made my car...

janikphoto - I can bust out the tape measure and give you the length and all that good stuff. Let me know.

The wheels do look good on that car. My wagon is the same color green. I have decided gold version 7 wheels would be awesome on my car. Someday...
