My Haynes manual says to start at the right front. I've always begun at the right rear.

The factory manual is mum on the subject.

Any comments?

as long as you don't get any air in the system, and make sure you get the old fluid out, it probably doesn't matter

Abs equiped vehicles are bled in the following manor. RT FRONT>LEFT REAR>LEFT FRONT>RIGHT REAR. According to Peaty from www.ScoobyMods.com I checked this with other Subaru sources and it is correct. Ed

Longest line from the master cylinder, then the next longest, etc..

Yes I agree that you start with the Caliper furthest from the Master Cylinder. R/R , L/R , R/F , L/F. Thats the way I have always done, but I could be wrong.
