Hey,

I'm new to the scene, and I was wondering if any of you coloRADo guys have put clear bras on your cars. If you could just tell me where you got it done, how did it turn out, and how much did it cost. Trying to protect the car before the harsh CO winters.

Thanks.
Judah

I think the clear bra is a great idea for around here. I put one on my car right away and have no regrets. It was paid for with my car loan but I believe it was around 200 bux or less.

Ray Reductions in Longmont did the job and my tint too. Nice work.

I already have a couple of small chips in my paint where the bra doesn't cover, so I know it's helping. We have WAY too much gravel during the winter months.

Cheers!

I got mine at The Firehouse carwash in downtown Denver October 1999 for 169. They did 14" up onto the hood, fender caps and backs of mirrors.

My parents recently had thier Lexus RX done their. 24" up onto the hood and fender, door handle areas, backs of mirrors, and around the grille. This was 480.

They did very good work, and next time I'm going to have them do more up onto the hood and fenders, around the door handles, all up and down the side of the car on the bottom 14". Gotta protect paint from those cone rubs. :D :p I'll also do the headlights. That will probably cost around 800, I'm just guessing- but worth it to me.

So as you can see, the price depends on the amount of protection you want or need. And heck, with Subaru's paint job you will find that it might be worth it to clear-bra the entire car! :p

Buwhahahah...I actually requested this while it was being done. They need to invent something we can just dip the car in. Use a crane or something - but be sure the windows are up tight! :D

Cheers!

I now have the clear bra on and it looks perfect. I got 18" up the hood, over the fenders, the entire front bumper, and the backs of the mirrors for $375. I really recommend this guy. He lives in Golden, does it out of his garage, all lines and seams match up perfectly. It is called BODYGUARD paint protection, the guys name is Gary, and his number is (720) 217-7012.

Thanks for all your help with the clear bra questions.
