Charge 09-02-2001, 07:37 PM Totally up to the dealer. Probably not, though. It's not a Saturn. Albert 09-02-2001, 08:17 PM Legally, it is decided by state laws. In California there is a no return policy the second you drive off the lot. Your only salvation would be the lemon law. Tats 09-02-2001, 08:51 PM For some odd reason I think that here in NY you get 30 days. Tats. SilverBoosted 09-02-2001, 08:54 PM Ummm.... actually if the deal (your contract) has not been bought by a financing company you can return the car. The dealer will scream but they have no choice.... just leave keys remove temp tags n drive away.... hkwan 09-02-2001, 10:11 PM Actually you know what - for CA, you can return anything you buy within 3 days of purchasing the item, including cars. The sellers obviously don't want anyone to know this. HpiRally 09-02-2001, 11:39 PM Land Rover just ran a deal that if you bought a Rover you could drive for 3500 or something like that, and if you didnt like it you could return it. I want one to drive to Cedar Point, then return it.:p Joe Eric SS 09-03-2001, 12:09 AM Actually, being that I am in car sales, 3 day return policy on items does not apply to automobiles. The reason being that as soon as you take it off the lot (granted that the deal gets funded) the car automatically becomes a used car and the dealer is not responsible for the depreciation and the fact that a person changed there minds. If that were the case I would buy a new M3 and return it the next day... There would be nothing stopping people from doing that... Eric Ashton 09-03-2001, 12:09 AM I believe there is a law in the US called "buyers remorse" or something to that effect. It allows you to return your purchase after a specific period. The duration would most likely be differnet for each state. |
