So I just changed my spark plugs on my 98 LGT, and realized that I've got a problem with the wires from cylinders 1 and 3. Bare with me, as I dont really know how to explain this. The metal connector inside the boot that connects to the coil pack, is recessed so far that it wont make contact with the metal post. If that makes any sense? On my old wires, the connector and the post mate right up, but on these, I have a good half inch between the two. They're just Subaru 7mm OEM plug wires. Any ideas on what I should do?

When i put the key in the ignition, i get lights and power, but when i turn the key, i get a bizarre clicking sound, all my lights flicker and nothing really happens. What did i do

I put the old wires back on 1 and 3 and still get the same flickering and clicking sound, any ideas? I could really use some help, and searching is turning up nothing.

To get them to mate, simply push the wire through the boot a little. Its a snug fit, so it can be difficult to push through. Also, some boot/connector grease can really help the wires go on more smoothly.
Check your fuse box and see if something blew out, when you went to start the car for your flickering problem.
