Hey guys.. I've recently moved to Vancouver and have already managed to get myself a speeding ticket out near Metrotown. 72km/h in a 50 zone.
I've yet to get a BC drivers licence as I'm driving on my Australian licence becuase its legal for the first 3 months.
What are my options with the speeding fine/ticket?? The cop said I don't need to pay it as I don't have a BC license... but... what if I get a BC licence in a month or so, will it come up in the system as an unpaid fine??
Cheers

Just fight it.
You may have to go to court, but the cops not going to show for a stupid little offense like that, and you'll save 100 bucks.
I fought a ticket and saved 80 for an hours work.

When you go to get your BC license see if they pull the ticket up on file. If they do, then pay, if not, consider yourself lucky :)

Same thing happened to me. British license. And that was after 11 months! It won't show up on your new BC license but I had to pay.

depends if the officer mail the ticket to Aust .
I would just take the licence starting from L , that way they won't have your Australia license on file :)
just pm me if you need help .
BTW I still Owe NZ Police department $600 from a excessive speeding , and they keep mailing me the bill ..

Not sure. Just gave me a notice to pay $140 before 2 weeks or I go to court. Easier that going to court and explaining why I was driving on my British license.....
