would i need an aluminum hood for these or will they be able to hold my steel one lol

These are designed for the GC8 hood. It should hold your steel hood.

could you find out for certain. because the gc hoods over there are aluminum ;\

We have customers using these units on their US spec cars with no issues...

The instructions and listing by Tein is for IMPREZA 92-01, which includes all models.
