Bump for a fun event and a great group of people. I started auto-x with the slush series one year ago, and have been completely hooked since then.

If you are unsure, just come out to watch!

Scuba what type of tires do you use for the slush series?.

I've got Kumho V710 245/45/17 R-compounds, which are excellent auto-x tires, but not good in the rain since they are slicks. The stock RE070's are very good in the rain, and are also excellent tires for those wishing to try auto-x, since they are very sticky for street tires. Good R-comps will make approximately a 2 second time improvement over decent street tires, maybe more if comparing to low quality or very long wearing tires.

The auto-x does wear out tires quickly, especially if you are a crazy driver like me :lol: - and I know for a fact you are Justin! ;)

I wore out the set of Kumho 225/45/17 V70A's (which were used when I got them) I had when we were at Mission this summer; they were good, but the V710's are certainly better for auto-x.

For your first few events in auto-x I would suggest just using the stock RE070's until you decide you want to get serious and buy some R-comps and more rims... that worked well for me.

I finaly have a Sunday off work so I will be attending. If anybody wants to come out and watch before trying it, I could take you along on one of my runs.
