just wanted to give everyone a heads-up...grouse mountain is letting everyone up for free snowboarding on thursday to check out their new terrain or something.

doesn't seem to be listed on their site, but I'm on the email list.

From the email:

"FREE SKIING & SNOWBOARDING
THIS THURSDAY!

In celebration of opening for public skiing and snowboarding this Thurs Nov 17, we would like to offer access to Grouse Mountain's premium slopes to everyone - FOR FREE! Come check out the results of the extensive summer grooming or take in Vancouver's most spectacular view from the Peak.

If you are a Grouse Mountain passholder, now is the time to bring that friend who hasn't skied/boarded here before so they can experience everything The Peak of Vancouver has to offer.

Complimentary skiing/boarding starts at 9am. Please proceed directly to the Skyride ticket window to pick up your free lift ticket."

Would this be timely for a shameless plug for my brother's snowboard company? He's a North Shore rider and his business is based in NVan.

The more boards he sells...the sooner he gets a WRX :-)
My friend Jeff runs the snowboard park up there....really nice guy. Hopefully lots of fresh snow and good times Thursday. Too bad I have to work #$*#$%
Have fun,

Broz

Powder was good; visibility sucked. Still, a great day of boarding was had before I had to rush back to class.

No no, I went on Wednesday at lunch. They opened Wednesday for pass holders. The mountain was almost deserted, just the way I like it.

Gonna head up again tomorrow before the "heat wave" rolls in and melts the snow.
