Just picked my car up from Xotic Motorsports and I am very happy with the Ecutek tune. I only have a Bosal/SPT cat-back. The uncorrected number were 269hp/307tq but i will leave it up to Andy from Xotic to answer any tech questions and he plans to post some dyno graphs also. When my car was bone stock it made 250hp/251tq. With just the cat back it came in at 260hp/261tq and now with tuning they have provided my dream setup. An enhanced sleeper. Drivability is the same but the power comes on earlier and more of it. An added bonus if you are fortunate enough to have access to Xotic, Andy not only tunes but is a very knowledgable mechanic and his customer service skills are top notch. He fine tunes each tuning session to the customers needs and demands. In my case I plan to do more track lapping events so he factored in a little more safety into the tuning and he can tune in driver preference items also. But if want to go for all out drag strip power can tweak for that. Speaking of which, my plans are to go to Cecil this Friday night just to see what it will run. Thanks for a job well done.

why the small hp numbers in comparison to torque? How well does it hold boost throughout the rev band?

Not bashing, just curious.

He is running the stock cats which are still a slight restriction. Peak boost is 18psi tapering to about 15.5 psi at redline.

Can an Ecutek be applied to a Subaru RX turbo?

And Andy, I got two weeks off of work. I hate making appointments. :alien:

Yeah sorry bro, I dont know how you do it, but you call at the worst times. Things look decent next week though.

Andy is great. :D

fp18G on a 2004 automatic trany WRX, 300awhp, 280awtq at 20psi with streetTuner and alky injection. Boost comes on so fast and power is so linear, feels like no lag whatsoever. Im sure the pt tq helps but the tune is very good. Some people mention that the auto has alot of drivetran loss so she should be more....whatever....she runs very well.
Great mechanic and tuner , IMO!!
i cant wait for my next setup :disco:

I am really just aiming for a 1.6 sixty foot time for starters. Before the tune I ran 13.08 with a 1.7 sixty foot. But no matter what I def will post the results. AWD will come in handy tomorow night with temp in the mid 40's. Car is running real strong and with no weird quirks.

Also I forgot to mention that I just run 93 octane purchased from Wawa. Just thought I would throw that out there.

I'm going to cecil next saturday now that I realize it is still open! I was running 13.0s in 85 degree weather and stupid humidity this summer, hopefully i can get back into the 12s with this cool weather :)

Before the tune with the SPT 3" cat back my time was:

April 15th 2005
R/T .304
60' 1.761
330' 5.333
1/8 8.344 @ 81.98mph
1000' 10.894
1/4 13.091 @ 103.58

SPT Cat back with EcuTek tune
November 18th 2005
R/T .986
60' 1.780
330' 5.330
1/8 8.288 @ 83.38
1000' 10.826
1/4 12.987 @ 104.86

Track temp was 31 degrees

Car was run the same way both times stock bbs wheels with stock rubber, 1/4 tank fuel, thick subaru floor mats, spare in the trunk w/ jack. Basically I run the car the same as if I were to the super market.

Launched all night around 5,ooo rpm and spin threw most of 1st and just catching gears around 6,800 to 6,900 rpm.

I do belive the car can pull of a 12.6 or 12.7 with a 1.6 ish 60' time and some warmer track temps.

Overall I am still pleased with the performance gain, it ran well at the strip and great on the road. I am looking foward to Watkins Glen in the spring to see the lapping times.

I will give another update next hopefully and I will be more then happy to answer any questions, again thanks to Andy @ Xotic, I recieved just what I wanted, an enhanced STi power upgrade with no headaches.

[sidenote] My car was turned into a drag slut :disco: , my brother, my friend, and myself were all running the car. So for anybody who was down there wonder why the times were all over the place, now you know.
