Hello,

I'm flying out to Denver today for a job interview. I'll be out for 4 days can any of you guy's tell me something about the area? How you like it, any tracks close by to do track days at? How's the subie crowd? Any SCCA autocross close? How's the nightlife? I'll be looking for housing on the south/southwest part of Denver/Littleton/Centennial.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Don

I'd suggest checking out http://www.awdpirates.net (click on main to get to the forum) it's where the colorado guys hang out.

Some of us old schoolers still hang out here. :)

Unfortunately, we just lost our two local tracks. Both SCR (Second Creek Raceway) and Mead closed. I just found out about Mead this morning. There is a thread on pirates about it.

Quite a few scooby guys auto-x and rally-x here. Check out www.rmsolo.org. The scooby crowd is pretty cool. Again, check out pirates. I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions.

The nightlife in Denver is good, but may not be as happenin' as Orlando. Bar hopping in the winter sucks. :) The area in which you're looking for housing is growing fast. Traffic in south Denver, specifically the Tech Center, has tEH suck.

Good luck with your interview.
