Err, I can't freaking drive.

2.2 60' with my drag radials. (This is on a 92 sentra btw).

I did however beat an EVO with bolt on's twice.

He was pulling 2.0 60's haha.

Wow that EVO owner can't drive or his bolt-ons made his car slower. Nice TQ numbers for your car.

Most tuned STis with exhuast are running high 12s. They typically make more TQ, but I'm sure your 92 Sentra is also a lot lighter so you too should have 12s or so I'm guessing.

Most? I'm sure there are quite a few, but I doubt "most" people are capable of driving that well. And given how people love to rag on anyone who doesn't post a high 12 with an STI w/tune and exhaust (gg internet), I have serious doubts about the "most" part.

If I could drive I'd run 12s.

It was my 2nd time ever with the car at the track. I'm hoping to cut a 1.9 60' sometime and hit high 12s.

My radials are my street tires. :)

If I ran it on actual street tires, god no. I spin until 3rd gear with the tires I had on it before the radials.

You are correct, my error. A properly tuned STi with a good driver can be in the upper 12s. My main point was that his Sentra probably has 12s in it as confirmed by his next post.

lol no really you need to look harder. :p IIRC the best time I have heard about was either a 12.6 or 12.7 with the avg. being 12.9. Again those times are with the few good drivers.

im not saying it can't be done, read my post again. i've never seen it. i've been to many drag events and alot of the the drivers can't hit 12's with just an exhaust tuned, i've seen them run high 12's with a dp and exhaust, and i've seen a crawford built sti run 13.7's. im not talking about times on the internet, im talking about going out to the track and seeing alot of modded sti's going 13.6.

I've seen a STi with like exhaust and a tune run 12s.

I'm going to go to a local 1/8th mile track and practice launching and see if I can get a 1.9 60' or so.

(guess his name isa giveaway...) <--- but refers to his 05 which was deeper in the 12's...

alot of driver involved, i believe, but the car CAN do it....

ive never "seen" a non-tuned STi run 12s, in fact all I have actually seen have been 13.4 + w/ bolt ons. And that is physically seen.

I never believe stuff on the internet, people post vids saying "bolt ons" when they have full tune and other crap but are embarrassed about their times.

A guy running mid 13s told me all he had was cat-back then I see a utec map selector in his dash.

Few people run 12.9's in stock STi's, they're just effin good drivers. Think of it like this, if they ran 12.9 stock then doin high 12's in a tuned STi with an exhaust system and OK driver sounds very logical.

Also, I'm going to probably start working on the suspension so haha, only took me a year.

in the Jan06' issue of Motor Trend, the driver did 13.0 with the 06' STi with 1400miles on it.
STOCK...

TBE will make it go 12.9 with ease. imo.

drdome99

A guy from Motor Trend already stated that they they adjust their times for atmospheric conditions. So that time was never actually run, just calculated based on whatever they actually did run. Again, until I physically see an STi with just exhaust run 12.9 or with a tune run 12.5/12.6 , I think it is a very rare occurrence. It's just too many people get depressed over all the internet times they read that they then make up their time or lie about their mods when they post.

TheMadScientist

I ran a 12.94@107.5 with just a TBE and SRI, NO TUNE, stock weight.
I ran a 13.01@103.9 stock exhaust stock intake with weight reduction.
All times were run at New England Dragway at the fathers day subaru event.

Halfbaked, what the heck do you have done to that thing? 106mph is moving, it seems way fast for an SE-R, are you faster than most of them?

If this is as fast for an SE-R as I think it is, congrats. If its average, then wow. I didnt know they were that fast. I always did like those cars, I almost bought one when I was looking at my WRX in 02

sr20det swap, stock turbo, 3 inch exhaust, 650cc injectors, nismo fpr, z32 maf, profec-b, boost set @ 15 lbs. other things here and there, but just basic mods.

It definately moves, I've trapped at 108 and I know I was trapping faster then 106 sunday but the lane I was in was messed up.

The car is faster then most stock cam stock turbo se-rs I believe. I made 276 whp and 302 ft lbs.

I just looked, there are a bunch of se-rs trapping over 105 on stock turbos. I think I could trap 110ish on my stock turbo. I just need to learn to drive a bit better.

And get some better suspension set up.

Because I relocated my battery to the trunk.

It is hard to run intercooler piping with my battery still in the front and instead of getting a smaller battery I just moved it.

That's probably exactly what I would have run if I would have had a 1.78 60', instead of a 1.70 60 ft. That's erie. Your name isn't Trey, is it? BTW, good run. My tune is also a conservative 93 oct tune, with AFRs in the high 10s.
