when did that conclusion come out? I'd love to be able to get some new suspension

I'm pretty sure fibuz is right on this one. Someone took measurements. I'm sure there is some combination of components to make it work.

I think ben (phatsuby) was working on it in some lonnnngg thread where everyone took measurments...and basically everything was the same except for the tophats for mounting purposes.

so maybe BL/BP struts with our stock top hats would work? I'm assuming if BE tops are used, then BE springs must be used too?

You guys have found my Achille's heel. The multi-link suspended cars are generally a mystery to me thus far, at least suspension wise.

But I do know a couple of things.

The USDM BL/BPs and JDM BL/BPs without Bilsteins have topmounts that appear similar to the BE/BH front topmounts. The Bilstein equipped BL/BPs have a saucer shaped front topmount. USDM BL/BP topmounts will not work with JDM BL/BP Bilsteins. The JDM BL/BP Bilsteins bolt right up in USDM BL/BPs as complete units though.

So whats that lead me to believe? The front topmount bolt patterns on the BE/BHs may be identical to the JDM Bilstein-equipped BL/BPs. If front topmounts on the USDM BE/BHs and BL/BPs are the same, youre good to go with complete units.

Further fuel to that bad luck fire.

I went and measured the mounting bolt spacing on the BL/BP and it came out to be 5.25" just like Ben said. I dont have a BE/BH front topmount here but I do have a BD/BG front topmount about :p and it measures out to 4.75" like someone posted in the other thread. I believe BE/BH and BD/BGs share fronting mounting point locations.

So it would appear the BL/BPs have a new unique set of front mounting points. So barring a custom set of front topmounts, these have got to go to a BL/BP owner.

BD and BE are def. the same top mounts.

The Bilsteins appear to have soldness. ;)
