View Full Version : 2.5 RS owners? 1/4 times anyone? 22b-iotch 11-19-2005, 02:01 AM What do some of you run stock? has anyone gotten into the 14's N/A please let me know what your setups are? KC 11-19-2005, 09:24 AM Next forum down: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=79 22b-iotch 11-19-2005, 05:11 PM just so you all know you dont need to post a pic of your time slip i just simply would like to here some #'s and setups. 8Complex 11-19-2005, 08:49 PM 15.9 to 16.1 completely stock. I'm not the most graceful driver, and everyone seemed to run slow the only day I've had the car at the strip, so I imagine it may have another tenth or two in it on a better day. Ruff 11-20-2005, 12:32 AM 14s NA here... My best: 2001 2.5 RS 5 spd: Injen intake, Borla header, ApexI N1 catback, Perrin Pulley, Exedy street clutch, Exedy Lightweight Flywheel, + added weight of 2 big ass JL amps. 60'--------1.976 330'------6.009 1/8-------9.406 at 71.85 mph 1000'----12.384 1/4--------14.910 at 89.17 mph Patrick Olsen 11-20-2005, 03:35 PM Wow, that's a pretty healthy car considering the level of mods. Must have been built on a Wednesday when the workers were happy. :) Stock I ran 16.027 @ 83 or 84 sumthin, 60' time was 2.1xx. My best is 15.361 @ 89.48mph with a 2.198 60' time. With that said, I think that trap speed may have been a timing fluke, as I've never run anything higher than 88mph except for that one run, and generally the traps are consistent mid 87s. It's worth noting that my 2.5GT weighs in around 275# more than a GC body 2.5RS (excuses, excuses... :) ). I have Cobb heads, cams, Injen intake, full MRT exhaust, aluminum flywheel, and an S-AFC. I've never been able to pull the sub-2.0 60' times that I see other people running, I don't know if I'm just too nice to my clutch or what. About the best I've gotten is around 2.10 I think. Pat Olsen '97 Legacy 2.5GT sedan Ruff 11-20-2005, 11:39 PM Yeah, I got a strong one I think. Here is another drag pass I made. It was 2 months after I bought my car and only my second time drag racing. The car had 35k miles at the time. Only mod was Injen intake on Dunlop allseason tires. I removed my spare tire, jack, and the front plates that block the hood scoop and vents. Other then that, the car was stock. Also had 3/4 tank of gas. I have dynoed at 152 whp on a Mustang Dyno and was only getting 15.2 with a 2.002 best 60' time. Then I upped the boost some and started getting 14.9 with 1.9 60' time and am an estimated 175-180 whp now. So basically, Ruff has a badass RS. Now someone needs to buy it so I can move up to an STi. Sko 11-21-2005, 03:01 AM I wanna run 12's in my RS-T... Mabe I can get low 13's if I twy. speed_freak27 11-21-2005, 09:02 PM I've pulled a 13.2@101 with a slipping clutch. Two weeks before I ran a 13.5 @106 so I know there is a 12 sec pass in her. This is with about 17 psi. ayv707 11-22-2005, 12:34 PM Stock at 6000ft above sea level my car ran 17.6, on 5 psi it ran 14.6, on 23 psi it ran 12.4, on 35psi plus nitrous i expect 9's. on 35psi plus nitrous i expect it to blow speed_freak27 11-22-2005, 07:32 PM on 35psi plus nitrous i expect it to blow That's probably because you drive an 06 STI. Drac9 11-23-2005, 04:10 AM Obviously the car does not have a stock engine anymore :) 101rs 06-10-2006, 04:24 PM Finally got my car together and out to the track last night. my best three runs were as follows: http://spda-online.ca/modules/xoopsgallery/cache/albums/album11/img003.sized.jpg This is in a 2000 2.5 RS with the following mods: TWE HO headers, cat and cat back exhaust TWE stage II cams with ti springs and retainers DIY polished exhaust ports 4 puck Bully clutch lighten flywheel(not sure of brand or weight) homemade intake Going to go get the car tuned this week and have the redline bumped up to 7500rpm and see if that helps get the times down some more. :) reddevil 06-11-2006, 06:09 AM Nice RS times! Ctracer911 06-11-2006, 03:47 PM when i had my 2.5 i ran a stock time of 15.3 with no spare tire or jack. i then ran a 15.0 with a cobb intake. i then returned and pulled a 14.6 with twe equal headers, apex'i n1 cat back, random tech cat, n1 pully set, grounding mod. i then ran a 14.5 with the same mods + a smt 6 piggy back. Best time to date is a 13.4 with just a 50 shot of nx nitrous. oh yea the last 2 runs were with no wing, not sure if it made that much of a diff. http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr/wMTI1NzExMTZzNDEzZGZkMzF5NTQx.jpg cueball89 06-11-2006, 04:29 PM i then returned and pulled a 14.6 with twe equal headers, apex'i n1 cat back, random tech cat, n1 pully set, grounding mod. i then ran a 14.5 with the same mods + a smt 6 piggy back. When you ran the pp6 did you plug in chip with the light to make it stock, then run without the chip? Rally_wgn 06-11-2006, 10:46 PM Cool thread, i linked this in my N/A tuning thread. Thanks to everyone posting there mods along with times. Looked at other WRX times in the Proven forum and stock WRX's pre-'MY06 are running in the mid to low 14s. So some good N/A times here. Saw one COBB STAGE 1 getting kudos for a 14.6 with good launch times. He must be running on a tough strip. Ctracer911 06-12-2006, 12:50 AM not sure what you mean, but i hard wired mine into the cars factory wiring. RobK0000 07-11-2006, 04:52 PM ive got a 00 Impreza L, i ran a 15.8 1/4 last month. BUT, if i take out the system and heavy wheels i can do a little better i hope. The car is currently using lightwiewight flywheel, stage 2 clutch, complete adjustable suspension and some other random things kevs 07-29-2006, 05:54 AM uhhh 100% stock '99 2.2L 4eat http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y72/podunkpossum/Picture1.jpg    11 seconds 0-60   22Bimpin 08-01-2006, 05:21 AM wow i feel bad for the sac town guy i ran mid to low 15's [one 14 possibly a fluke] all weekend. all i have is an Injen CAI, springs, a DIY cat back, and a Seibon C/F hood (my girl bought it so dont ask) in my 01 2.2L BEAST. but i want more power. what the hell do i do? 06' borla header on the way wow :disco: Ruff 08-01-2006, 06:51 PM wow i feel bad for the sac town guy i ran mid to low 15's [one 14 possibly a fluke] all weekend. all i have is an Injen CAI, springs, a DIY cat back, and a Seibon C/F hood (my girl bought it so dont ask) in my 01 2.2L BEAST. but i want more power. what the hell do i do? 06' borla header on the way wow :disco: That's quicker then alot of guys can run in a 2.5 RS. Ihave the following modifications, ligthweight flywheel 11 lbs, stage 2 performance clutch, intake, agx struts with eibach prokit springs, strut bars (front & rear), woofer, 2 amps and aftermarket components, also i had about 100 lbs of tools in back, (electrician, totally forgot about the tools in trunk until after first run), anyways with all that in i ran a 15.8, .558 r/t with 2.08 60 ft time! i thought that was damn good, i spun the tires a little at the start, i cant belive it was possible, im using BFGoodrich T/A KDW II tires on 17" Rota SDR's. You are definately reading the wrong side of the slip!!! If i took out the woofer and tools i should definately be running 15.5 if not better! but low 15's is impossible with your setup 22bimpin!
