First off, I'm extremely happy with the tune. The car runs sooo much better than it ever did with the OTS Cobb Stage II 91 map. The dudes from PDXTuning rock!!! I met some really cool people down there too. It was nice meeting all of you. I had to wake up at 5:30 am so that I could install the EBCS before the tune in the parking lot at Matrix. Well worth it! Here are the results:

2003 WRX
Cobb AP (obviously)
VF39
STi Pinks
Walboro 255
Perrin EBCS
NGK Iridium Step Colder
TXS Stealthback
TXS Hi-Flow Cat
TXS Up-Pipe
Prodrive Axleback
Stock TMIC
Stock Intake (minus rez :))

Numbers (because my camera sucks): 273.9 hp @ 6500 / 247.4 ft-lbs @ 5000

On a sidenote, I got a CEL on my way home, EGT high circuit or something like that. Anyway, I called Dave @ Solar Reflections in Auburn, WA and he hooked me up with a CEL fix in minutes! Anyway, thanks to everyone who helped out, my daily drive will be so much more fun!

Great numbers for a VF39. Looks like you'd actually make more horsepower towards readline. You're peak is shown at 6500rpm but it's still climbing!

TXS stealthback's are notorious for throwing CEL lights too.

that fix should do the trick.

congrats on the tune. looks good.

Nice numbers! How much boost are you runnin? I have almost the same set-up and i'm ganna get it tuned by pdx soon aswell. I will be doing the "drive there then install the EBCS trick" too.

Doesn't the Cobb suppress that code?

ya, the cobb should have the DTC removed. Did he send you a new map with it removed, or did they give you the resistor fix? If he gave you a newmap, you're set, if he gave you the resistor, i would ask him for a new map with that DTC removed.

Does it make a difference?

just seems easier to flash a new map then mess around with resistors. . .should have been done that way to begin with.

Was this on pump gas? 91? 93?

In respect to the EGT code I would personally do a little more than just the fix. I would also remove the EGT sensor from the uppipe either by changing the uppipe or by just removing it and plugging the hole. The last thing you want is a EGT sensor breaking off and going into the turbo. Remove that sucka.

A resistor fix works fine as will a sw fix.

- Nice results

Looks like a Mustang dyno chart. If those numbers were on a Mustang with the stock TMIC, I'm really impressed. I put down the same with my VF34 on 97 octane.

Hey Mick,

The EGT probe was clipped off but it was put back into the TXS UP. It seems to be working, should I just remove the EGT sensor completely and plug the hole?

Jimbo,

This was indeed a mustang dyno, and about the stock top mount, it is stock but I forgot to mention the Perrin I/C hoses in my first post.

If by clipped off you mean the sensor part that sticks into the uppipe is clipped off then leave it like that. Like this it's acting as a bung. What's not their can't break off.

Unplug it and use a resistor fix. It should not have been plugged in like this in the first place.

Pump Gas 92

Hmm so was you suffering the so called "winter gas" dilema with your tune?

Those are actually good numbers for your car. For some reason up at topspeed in atlanta i here the vf34 guys are only making 260 due to this winter gas ordeal. I have reason to believe it is a **** tune, but i am relunctant to take my car there to get tuned now. Anyways i wish some of them pdx tuners would come down here and assist in my tuning. Props to you man i'm impressed.

sucks that the new wrxs make 335+ (fly) torque on stage 2.

uuuhhhh why did they make them 2.5l makes my life horrible. those are nice numbers though.
