Cobb catted dp = $575
Helix catted dp = $400 shipped
I searched.... seem to be identical stats on both... bellmouth, metal substrate cat.... etc
I thought i had my mind made up to go cobb... but researching has me questioning why spent the extra $$...
Can anyone shed some light on this
Thanks

Well there are some differences. I won't get into which cat is better (I think fundamentally they probably work equally in testing), but the placement is vastly different. The one from Helix is closer to the bellmouth; which adds more backpressure (which most people consider a constriction) but also should do a better job of cleaning the emmisions (the actual job of the cat). Another possibly downside to the Helix is that with the cat up so high it can introduce more heat into the engine bay (although I am not sure it matters while moving, but at idle it might help heat soak a TMIC faster?). I seriously considered both of these DPs originally. So which did I go with?? The Helix as I felt it was top notch quality, 35% cheaper than the Cobb which is signficant, and it was actually in stock/available (not sure if Cobb ever finally caught up on demand but their backlog was months long). Nothing against Cobb (except their pricing and availability) but I certainly haven't regretted the deicision yet :)

Another one to look at is the Invidia v3. It has a divider tongue for the wastegate and also a stainless cast bellmouth and you can get it with a cat or without.

I looooove the look of Daddy's downpipe, has a cat but the wastegate bypasses the cat. It's a nice design I think.
