Does anyone know if this seller is legit, I had and heard horror stories about buying from ebay.

They say it fits GC8, I wonder if the air bag would still work and if one can retrofit a OEM cruise control.

the sit air bag will not work with your gc8 because you are not using the sti "drive by wair harness" or ecm. if you go this route the airbag will be disabled. i kn0w because we are doing this to my gc8.

:confused: It's probably not from a DBW car, though. It looks like a v8/9 wheel. I've heard there was a switch in the style of plug used for the airbags in 04, but I'm not positive on that one.

And plus i have a cool airbag light....has to be good for 20hp

Both of these things have absolutely nothing to do with the airbag. What Version steering wheel is for sale, I can't get on ebay from work. You have 3 easy options to make it work if it is the newer style airbag wiring.

1) Replace the roll connector with the matching type

2) Replace the airbag explosive in the new wheel with the old wheel one. An RS style explosive won't fit on any GD wheel

3) Cut the wires on the roll connector and splice them to the wires on the steering wheel side.

I've done it a few times. No big deal. ;)

I want to change my steering wheel too, was looking at a momo hub adapter ($65) and some cheap e-bay steering wheels. I'd miss the cruise control but thats just more weight i can take off the car. I'd be happier without the air bag, just something about an explosive aimed at my face while driving doesn't sit well with me :)

any one know about the new STi RA spec C? the all black wheel (no silver plastic)? i want that one, its freaking awsome.

It's the same as the 05+ USDM STi steering wheel and will require one of the 3 options above to fit in a GC.

Link about for explosive swap doesn't work. Any have a working link?
