Anyone with utec have a fix for the cel? I was told I could just leave the motors plugged in and have them to the side of the engine bay. How does everyone fix the cel on tgv deletes? The vers 8 fuel rails are included so I'll be using my RC 850cc top feeds from my integra's fuel rail or get modded WRX injectors. I may get Outback's top feed fuel rails, can't beat it for $150 a pair. It uses an fittings, not like the Ultimate racing kits using barbed fittings. I know I have to use a resistor box as the RC's are low impedence. Ultimate Racing's kit uses what looks exactly like a Honda resister box. Any input would be appreciated.

with a utec, just turn the CEL off so it doesn't light up the dashboard.

I have a V8 manifold on my 04 STi. You will need to make at least a 1/4 inch spacer for the DBW throttle body to move the assembly far enough off the manifold to fit. The bolt holes dont line up either. One uses M8 bolts and the other uses M10, cant remember which one and its too cold to go outside. The bolt holes dont line up either. I ended up opening up 3 out of the 4 holes on the 04 throttle body. I didnt open up the hole closest to the map sensor because I was afraid I would break through the passageway for it. One strange thing did happen though. The vacuum port where the blowoff valve normaly attaches is now in an area of turbulance in the manifold. If my blowoff valve is hooked to that spot, it will flutter at part throttle and not open all the way when the throttle is shut. If I hook a vacuum gauge up to the same port, it will read irratic under boost and vacuum. As far as the cel goes, I just use my utec to keep the light off, and have the cruise blink. Or you could get an ecutek flash to turn them off. If you just connect the motor/sensor it will still throw a cel, one is a motor that moves the flaps, and the other is a sensor that makes sure the flap is where it should be, so it they arent connected with the rod that goes between them, it will activate the cel. As far as injectors, run a set of modded WRX stockers. They are pruven and Utecs dont like resistor boxes too much. I had a thread a while ago about the install you should check it out, it will help with your install.

Thank you. If you get a chance some time this week to post a pic of your motor I'd appreciate it. I may inquire about a jdm dbw throttle body or if they're all cable, then I'll search for the mod to do that.
