Need a shop or guy thats able to do custom wiring for an 04 STI drag car.
Have talked to a lot of shops but most have really never done too much custom when you get right down to it and ask them the extent of their experience. I see a lot of tuners talking on here but I wasnt sure who had experience in custom jobs.
thanks

Ok, thanks I will. However even though I am in the northeast I think if I can find a well experienced shop I will take it anywhere. I have had too many shops so far that have lied about experience and its hard to tell who to rely on.

What are you looking to have done?

Exactly. What exactly are you looking to do. Hell 3/4 of us can wire up a harness properly. Are you looking to do like a custom EMS type install? That's really not that hard to do.

You looking to do a full custom electrical harness? Lights, relays, etc? That's a bit more time consuming, but still, simple enough to comprehend at it's root.

Ok. that sounds good.
Here is what I am looking to do.
Mechanical work is complete.
Whether I choose Motec or Autronic doesnt really matter to me.
Dont really think that any other system can support the variations needed.
Namely be able to run injectors at lower duty cycle for the street and full cycle for the strip. Motec and Autronic have components that can control that but most people dont know how to do the complete install.
Dash is completely stock. Custom fuel rails. No drive by wire.
Everything is custom. I need someone that is experienced in custom start to finish.
Not looking for someone that has done partial custom. Had too many people already offer to be willing to try to get it done.
It would be great if any of you guys have experience and if you do just let me know.
thanks

try these guys. I'm pretty sure they are the ones that did ESX's motec install & tune.

Again... "Everything is custom"

What is "everything"?

All you've mentioned is installing an aftermarket EMS and it's components. THAT in and of itself isn't hard, it's soldering, wiring, and looming.

What has to be custom about installing a motec anyway? Doesnt it come with all the necessary wiring?

That is the problem that I am having. When you call Motec they give you the price for the M400 and then they say what things as far as the wiring extras do you need. The ECU is by itself and you are supposed to know what extras are necessary to buy for the application.
The M400 is for any 4 cylinder car the custom part for me is knowing what I need to buy.

Precision Dyno Tuning? Already called them. They are too busy tuning cars
to have time for this job.

DentSportGarage should be able to do it, providing you're willing to drive to southern Ma.

We can do that no problem. I love the MOTEC interface. Really nice setup and very powerful. How much depends on how fancy you are going to get on the custom harness.
