I am looking for a new engine/transmission either late model WRX or STI engine/transmission combo.

Can anyone recommend a company, someone that sells alot and has good feedback?

Your location would help with making recommendations. An empty signature leaves a lot of guessing. What do you drive? There are very reputible importers in most every region. It also depends on what you want. You are pretty vague. Do you want JDM? USDM? 2.5? 2.0l?

Oh, and before you get hit by the "do a search" nazis, did you happen to check the vendors classifieds? ;)

Thanks for the reply and helpful advice, just found out about this forum and quickly joined up. I'm in Socal part of the time, New Zealand part of the time and drive a USDM '05 2.5RS. It doen't matter where in North America the supplier is, as long as they are reputable. Just wanna do a project car and slowly build it up with mods, want 6spd, and a good strong STI or WRX engine to start with. I would look at the JDM engines/transmissions.

Anyone able to stick their neck out and advise on the best outfit to buy engine/tranny from? I will be doing the work myself and know I will have to upgrade diffs, brakes, suspension, etc.

I don't know the west coast vendors...I too am fond of gr8wheels/jdm importers...but they do a lot of old school impreza stuff...

you may want to do what I do...search the classifieds for drivetrain or sti drivetrain...it usually turns up what I want...no I'm not a nazi...just suggesting what I do because you'll find your best price that way
