I just got my short shifter made by the guys at Vivid Racing. At a super reasonable price, (less than $100) I got a great quality shifter with a solid feel and INCREDIBLY short throws. If anyone is looking to pick up a short throw lever and dont want to buy the $250+ linkage kit, Vivid is definitely the way to go.

i have one of these and it looks great rocky...unfortunately the vendor i'm getting the momo knob from is taking a long time...i don't want to have to take my console apart twice.

relay: why not? Taking the console apart is like a 1 minute thing... pop, pop. Mine's been apart more times than I can count.

Took it apart to do the Kartboy shifter this weekend... wow, what a champ!

yeah, i didn't realize how easy it was to come off until i tried it. well i got the shifter on and the momo knob. it looks great and shifts great! i also tried to put my momo boot on and totally f'd it up. i broke 3 of the 6 pins on the bottom of the console trim, flimsy little bastards, and i was being careful too. so now my boot is just hanging there. i'm hoping the sti aluminum trim will fix the problem. anyway the shifter works great, but i have to file the metal plate around the linkage, because it is scraping the rod. some people have taken it out but i would rather dremel it. i'll do it tonight. i recommend this shifter, nice job rocky, good price.
