the 2006 STi pulled a 13 second run when in the evo mr comparo in motor trend mag (i think)

thats .7 seconds more then what car and driver pulled in an '05.

is it me or is motro trend better at driving cause no way just the tq split can do that, i though putting more power up there may make it a tad slower cause of less front wheel normal force

there has been at least 2 threads about this, the MT guys admit that they drive gently which is why they came to this quarter mile time.

so you mean they did drive it gently or they mashed the pedals and had 4 black marks of the line?

never type while drunk with hang over from previous night. so after that, i would like to say, yes, that would actually be good driving for the sti stock to do 13 flat. and it may be the other way around, i recall two magazines, one had horrible times for the sti, due to the fact that they were not "beating on it" yet the other one had good times, because they were driving it how it was meant to drive. i'm sure someone else will chime in. i'm going to bed soon.......
