Hyper 11-26-2005, 07:32 PM you finally got eveything? :) suby_dude 11-26-2005, 08:03 PM I am looking for some good info also, like a general writeup with what needs to be taken off the stock motor to get it fully out etc... I know I can probably do it all without a writeup but I like reading over tutorials before i get to work to just make sure I'm not missing a little key step that will make the install easier. I will be doing a full v7 engine, transmission, and rear end over winter break (starting dec. 14th when i'm done with the semester) I will be sure to do a full write up like I did for the kingpin gt kit when i installed it -Dan Avon Agile Auto 11-28-2005, 07:03 PM I've done several full swaps with engine, trans, prop shaft, rear diff, axles, and hubs. I don't have a write up on the swap yet but if you guys need any help at all just give me a buzz at the shop and I'll be happy to help you out with your project. -Hill www.agileauto.com Soon2Bgreat 11-29-2005, 04:41 AM Swapping a V7 jdm sti engine/turbo and TMIC into base 02 wrx. You can swap in the motor with no wiring and by simply re-bolting in the new engine. Your car will run fine and work perfectly. But your AVCS will not be hooked up. If you order the AVCS wiring kit from IAperformance it will come with directions on how to hook it up. It is very easy and what i would suggest. If you want to wire up the AVCS on your own all you need is the pinout related to that. There was a great writeup on how to do this without the AVCS wiring kit. I will find it for you if you'd like....but like i said for simplicities sake i'd go with the IAperformance kit. Good luck. Louis |
