I haven't researched in quite some time the available car waxes on the market. Any opinions on what seems to offer the longest protection and goes on fairly easy? I feel a little silly asking but when you go in the store there are tons of options and don't want to base my decision on what has the best looking label. Any experience would be helpful.

Ive been using pinnacle wax, I have it left over, from my other car. people say great things about it, and it does go on/off easy, but I just dont feel like it lasts all that long.

ALOT of people have been happy with Zaino Bros.
However I havent used it. Others really like the "imported" Zymol, not the cheap copy. I havent used it in years, so I also have no opinion.

I am also looking for something new so I hope some people can help us out.

This has been discussed thoroughly before. Since the Search function doesn't appear to be working right now, you are forgiven. In the meantime here is one place to investigate. There are many others. Everyone has their opinion about what is the best wax to use.

Klasse is great. Lasts for months, great shine and you don't need several products like Zaino

I use Zymol on my Passat. It does work VERY well. Great glossy shine. I am sure that Zaino is the same. Most of the upper end waxes are the same, primairly a mix of white and yellow Carnuba (sp?) wax. You really cannot go wrong with either of them.

Actually Zaino does not use any carnuba wax (or wax at all). I have used zymol carbon and creme (on my GTI) and they don't compare to zaino...

EDIT: Oh and zaino is like 1 fifth of the price of zymol.

When I worked for an auto detail shop, we used Auto Glym products. It's an excellent product out of England. I found a distributor on the net here (http://www.properautocare.com/) . They also have some detailing tips like how best to use a clay bar.
