any body know if subaru warranties paint issues.the paint on my hood scoop flaked off,my car is an 02 with 49000 miles.this scoop is the oem one that came with the car and has never been painted.

They do warranty paint defects...but since you're out of the 3yr/36, it'll be more difficult to get them to honor it I bet. However, if it's obvious that it occurred from bad paint, they might.

My advice, ask for it politely and expect the dealership to deny you at first. Then, contact Subaru and ask a regional rep to come and take a look. They'll probably say no, but maybe they'll goodwill it, or offer to meet you halfway on the repair.
