I got a nice deal here and was treated very well. It's a bit off the beaten path, but worth the trek. There is even a pretty good Mexican food place next door. I dealt with Tom Hayden. I don't have much to say about service, as my WRX is only 6 days old, and I live 60 miles from the dealer, so I will prob. check out the Sub Specialists in Monrovia (I think thats where they are) for service.

the service department is un-responsive and un-caring, i found this out during a CEL problem.

the place next door, Casa De Soria, is one of Ventura's finer Mexican eateries. nice choice.

Living in So Cal I wanted to find the best deal on a new WRX. I got the name of the Fleet Manager/Internet Sales Manager for all the dealers between San Luis Obispo and San Diego out to Bakersfield, 17 in all, and faxed them exactly what I was looking for (color, features, etc.). When it was all said and done Larry Kilbourn at Lancaster Subaru was the guy who wanted the deal the most. Called me back quickly, was responsive and had all the paperwork filled out when I came in to buy the car. Great experience.

I guess some people can't be satisfied. Every time I've gone there, however, I have been treated nicely, even though all I am there for is the oil change. They take care of it as if it was their own, and let me bring my own oil, since the only oil I will put in my Kanga is Castrol Syntec full synthetic. Their prices are pretty reasonable, and they have answered questions when I've called. I talked to Bob (service manager), and he told me about an upset customer who doesn't like the fact that he can't shift into first at 20 mph. What WRX driver in his right mind would want to do that?
PS. Stay as far away from Santa Monica Subaru as you can!!!! Email me for details.
