View Full Version : Cobb Tuning Customers Satisfaction Survey Imprezer 09-05-2001, 03:43 PM Trey, lets see how you guys are doing. Imprezer 09-05-2001, 03:47 PM Guys, remember, this poll is for people WHO HAVE DEALT with Cobb Tuning. Your opinion MUST be based on your overall past experience with the company. Will 09-05-2001, 03:48 PM Uhm... Whats with the sudden 'poll'? Imprezer 09-05-2001, 03:51 PM Jeez, please, read this... http://www.i-club.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=58 It is right below this thread that yo ujust clicked on. Thats whats with it. -Alex Sergeant_V 09-05-2001, 04:09 PM Cobb Tuning is great! The products I purchased are top notch and I received them really fast. Josh was quick to answer any technical questions about proper installation. I'll definitely order from Cobb Tuning in the future. -Abel suby ej25 09-05-2001, 04:33 PM just bought a cold air intake from them.....i love it...service was great...highly recommened Somber 09-05-2001, 06:38 PM see the results of thier fine products and service on my car here: http://members.home.net/paul.koenig/WRX/ and they'll soon be taking the car to the next level of the R/T Spec when we both have time... excellent quality, excellent service, excellent source of knowledge... I just hope we can all be reasonable and not burn them out the way the people at RalliSpec were... Joe Hogan 09-05-2001, 07:30 PM I have worked with Trey over the last year or so. Even delivered my car from CT to have major drive line and engine work completed. I have ALWAYS been completely satisfied with the customer service and quality of their work. For those of you who know me or have dealt with me know this kind of praise from me does not come easy. Trey is very knowledgable and manages the crush of this business extraordinarily well. He is also a good friend. Joe Hogan Corey 09-05-2001, 08:08 PM Cobb Tuning has been great to me so far. One of the few places you can call and actually get someone on the phone. Also, they don't rush you off the phone right away like some places, they will take the time to explain anything you want to know. I would definately give them my buisness in the future. Actually, I am waiting on a set of cams right now... Corey bsquare 09-06-2001, 01:40 AM Cobb is likely the best tuner for Subarus in the country right now. Nothing but quality from start to finish. Ben JenisonWRX 09-06-2001, 12:03 PM My only complaint is waiting for parts... but the parts I have recieved are great! Information from trey is always helpful... Great job guys! stimpy 09-06-2001, 04:47 PM The research done on their products is incredible. If you buy something from them, you will definitely not get something half-assed. If something comes across as unsatisfactory, they are very willing to work with you to get any issues resolved. -Jon www.nothingserious.net happy Cobb Tuning customer and has the stickers to prove it pooreman 09-06-2001, 11:49 PM  I'm one of the maybe/possible folks. See I'm still waiting on that HI FLOW CAT from my order that was placed at least 4-5 months. Now I have been in contact with them through email several times and last heard of a seal issue being worked out. But I ordered the Complete Stage 2 kit which isnt chump change. I have been waiting on it to do a complete install, all these beautiful parts are just lying in my back room. I like what Trey has done and is continueing to do with our cars. Strike two and heres the pitch Chad Poore Memphis TN You should have my number and the answering machine is always on, or email me if you've lost it chad@electric-mojo.com Alright-- I'm leavin the stuff above but adding this comment--. I just finished the install of the stage 2 kit in about a day and it is a great product hands down:rolleyes: . The car sounds better than I thought it would. I still would say the time issue bugs me, but after about a hour breakin drive I think it was worth the wait. Thanks Trey and Company:o alfriedesq 09-07-2001, 02:38 AM Trey gets my HIGHEST possible approval rating - great service great product - top mount i/c - - cant wait to get the f/m i/c from him and i am planning to get some other goodies from them also For my unichip I use TurboXs b/c they are the only choice due to geograhpic proximity !!!!! Keep up great work Trey! subywan-kenobi 09-07-2001, 04:40 AM Products are good if you can get ahold of them. Been waiting on brake lines for I don't even know how long now. Same situation happened when I order my CAI from them, but can't argue with the quality/performance of the product. Could do better than riding the wave of your reputation all the time. What I mean is if your suppliers don't come through, you really should switch suppliers to ones that will. There is a point when apologizing loses its meaning/value. Kind of like a battered wife, you keep apologizing to us, but nothing changes. Even though that didn't sound the greatest, I do like you guys and the knowledge you provide to us. One thumb up!:) Mike S. RS ING 09-07-2001, 05:23 PM I didn't go the usual route for buying items from them. I bought a base Cobb tuned car, but let me tell you I talked to Trey on the phone a few times and got some helpful answers and info that normally wouldn't be discussed when buying a new car. I was so please with the car that when I picked up the car I had to meet him and thank him. Good stuff. Frank StankFootZ 09-07-2001, 09:18 PM I've had great luck working with Cobb. It took forever for my intake to come in (or the parts to make it I guess), but it was worth the wait. When there was a problem billing my account it was solved quickly and professionally. Thanks guys! Scott French Godmal 09-09-2001, 01:44 PM I like Cobb, too. I just got my springs from them and they arrived when they said they would. I can't wait to order my exhaust from them. Safir 09-09-2001, 09:16 PM my only problem with COBB is that it is way too easy to buy from them... great job guys, excellent products, good customer service ColinL 09-10-2001, 10:27 AM Buying a house and haven't done much to my Scoob in a while :(, but I did have one of the first sets of street cams in my car and Trey was a pleasure to work with. (and yes, interested parties, the cams are STILL in my car. hehe) There was a gouge on one of the cam journals and Trey swapped it quickly and without question. I've heard of no one else having this problem by the way, so don't be afraid-- this was a bizarre fluke. I've bought other parts from them as well and their technical knowledge and willingness to help is top rate. It doesn't matter if you're buying just a few odd things or ungoing massive modifications, you should put Cobb Tuning on the top of your shopping list. hoodwho 09-10-2001, 08:45 PM So far i have been very impressed with their service... i have asked them a TON of questions on my car and have always been answerd within a day or two(email) unfortunatly i over-research a lot but am buying quite a bit here this fall and i will get it all from them. i trust their judgement and am impressed with their patience... would be nice to see them in the "upgrade garage".... maybe an i-club sponser type thing.... Arch 09-12-2001, 01:57 PM I ordered from them twice. Each time I had lotsa questions and they were more than willing to help. They were quite knowledgeable and friendly. I received my orders in a timely fashion and I highly recommend them.:) geremy 09-12-2001, 02:05 PM ditto above. Matt 09-13-2001, 12:19 PM Great service and very knowledgeable. My only problem is that they are local to me. It's an easy drive to spend money that I can't really afford to. But I have at least talked the wife into putting a Unichip in my christmas stocking. r5t2 09-17-2001, 07:24 PM I have had good customer service from Cobb. They answered all my questions in a forthcoming manner and have received all my goods in a timely manner. What else can you ask for? Black02WRX 09-19-2001, 03:19 PM I've delt with several aftermarket vendors over the years and Cobb Tuning is far and away, hands down THE best customer service I have ever experienced. I bought the stage 1 Club spec APS/Cobb kit from them and it has been flawless (besides a pesky CEL for cat-con efficiency). Power delivery is seemless and is good enough for low 13 second timeslips. As far as customer service goes, Trey really takes the time to listen to me, which is different than some other vendors I've had the experience of dealing with. *All* the following mods have come from Cobb: 18" Anthracite P1 Prodrive wheels 225/40ZR-18 Sumitomo tires STi sport springs Cusco sway bars (front and rear) APS stage 1 kit (280hp) Short shifter STi fog lamp covers I look forward to them getting their dyno up and running. I am ready for RT spec power.... James '02 Midnight Black Subaru Impreza WRX mista618 10-06-2001, 01:53 AM i've been waiting for my damn sti springs for two months already. yes, trey is helpful- but where are my springs!?!?!?!? NJPinoy 10-06-2001, 03:05 AM Trey Cobb was very helpful and fast to get my STI foglamp covers. :D My rating:5 phooka 10-19-2001, 08:22 PM Too bad the poll is closed.. I just stumbled across it. I'd have to put my vote in the 'not likely' category. Their web ordering sure leaves alot to be desired, and their product tracking on the web is non-existant. What can I Say, I'm not a people person :) jblaine 10-24-2001, 10:05 PM My 2 cents: Ordered COBB short-throw shifter and a shift knob online from their web site. Upon request, I was emailed a UPS tracking number for my order. I tracked and received the products with COBB-written installation instructions in the expected time. I most definitely recommend them. Phooka, you clearly seem to be in-the-know about something we all aren't. What Subaru parts web site are you using that has online secure ordering and integrated package tracking? COBB's web site is easily the most usable Subaru parts site I've seen (and actually one of maybe 2 I've seen that even offer direct online ordering). So, would you please let us in on your secret site? ANW 10-30-2001, 07:13 PM sticking with my bedrock rule of giving credit where it is due I must say that I am really impressed with COBB. They are cool on the phone and quick with getting order right out kudos to Cobb Tuning adam Darryl 11-13-2001, 11:12 AM I had the Club Spec kit installed by Cobb, including the dyno tuning. I've been getting ce lights ever since. The two main codes are po30x for misfires (x = the cylinder number) and po420 for cat inefficinecies. Trey is working on both problems. I expect a newly mapped Unichip to arrive today, and I hope that cures the 30x lights. As I've read elsewhere, other turbo-back exhaust systems are also causing the po420 code. Trey is working on this too. I've been well treated when I phone in my issues, and I feel Trey is genuinely commited to making me a happy customer. The car never has exhibited any driving problems, and the added performance makes the car all the sweeter. darryl Sergeant_V 11-13-2001, 11:38 AM Cobb = Good tselway 11-17-2001, 01:01 AM Great service. I am happy with everything I bought from Cobb. Imprezed_Driver 11-25-2001, 11:17 PM I will definately be dealing with them again. If you have any Subaru related question, Trey will probably know the answer. The service was great, and the products I have purchased were of top quality. LateApex 12-04-2001, 12:48 AM I originally ordered Group N motor/tranny mounts from Cobb. I was sent an email the next day stating there was a 2-4 week wait on the parts from STi. I cancelled my order, but instead I ordered a Cusco rear sway bar. I dealt with Josh completely over email, and he was always quick to reply and helpful. I'd definitely consider Cobb when purchasing again. Sway bar should be here tomorrow, thanks guys! polkaband 12-06-2001, 11:20 AM I had my unichip installed and tuned at cobbtuning. Every thing was done very profesioinally. Teh guy seemed to know exactly what he was doing with every part of my car. He also found a few other things while he was under the hood that were kind of off that he took care of. (hoses and stuff) Aparently the guys that installed my turbo back didn't put everything back just right. GoodFinder 12-07-2001, 07:01 PM Top notch in all respects. GoodFinder :) jagcars26 12-08-2001, 09:15 PM The parts(camms, intake,Random tech cat,) arrived when Josh said they would. The parts performed the way i thought they would(excellent). There customer svc,(Josh)is a pleasure to deal with, very patient and courteous.Annnd they are very good about removing money from my wallet at great distances. Rudy,,<<very satisfied customer Supapooh 01-24-2002, 02:17 PM I would definently and plan on doing more business with them. bensonwrx 02-08-2002, 07:56 PM In most cases, I talked via email with Josh rather than Trey...but the point is though Cobb is excellent in terms of customer services. Products are great too. Yeah the STi foglight stickers I bought from them were expensive (like 35-40 bucks), but the quality speaks for itself. They did send me the wrong intermediate pipe once (00-01 while mine was 98), but they're nice to refund my money and have the UPS people come pick it up w/o charging me a penny. It's just excellent. Now if they have the MAF Cobb CAI or perhaps a Turbo kit for my baby, then they are PERFECT :D I'd give a 9 at least (no less). Keep up the good work Cobb! -Benson (Another MY98 Owner) MonoSki 03-01-2002, 11:53 PM To recap, excellent service and knowledge, but slow as hell? Why the hell would anybody wait so long for anything??? Some people were waiting MONTHS! I guess you folks are way more patient that most. Judge 03-11-2002, 08:03 AM I would rather wait for something that is going to be top notch stuff than get something the next day that will "work"....I like quality and am willing to wait. I have to buy ANYTHING for my WRX but when it happens it will be from Cobb Tuning. They have been more than helpful via email.....and the emails have been not even related to their product line...but more about dyno's (what they use etc)....all in all I say they are worht the wait. WRXGuyInUSA 03-11-2002, 04:24 PM I recently bought a new flywheel from Cobb. It was delievered the next day as promised, and in great condition. I will most deffinetely buy from them again... CaptainBlinky 03-21-2002, 12:01 PM Never ordered from them (just bought my rex 2 weeks ago) but I called last week about the R/T spec system with all kinds of questions, and whoever I talked to was patient and friendly. By the time I got off the phone I was pretty sure who i'd be doing my dealings with in the future. |
